Re-palming Vapor XX gloves

I've been using my vapor XX gloves a ton recently and have been wearing out the top glove palm. Is there anyone or anywhere that will re-palm the "stretch-palm" fabric with the leather?

Other than Bauer themself I think your out of luck.I've also tried to do that and the best I got was a leather Eagle palm.

no, bauer won't repalm your gloves if you send them in

I've emailed them before asking and they said they'll give you a clarino palm I think it was. Yeah it sucks... lol

What kind of leather/plastic is this? I've seen it in retail gloves before and I think it would be a good way to retain some usability time on the palms of my gloves.

I'm sorry I wasn't more specific, but I was wondering what that tacky black fabric is made out of. The main reason being that you can't get new XX palms, and it would be a good way to preserve my current ones by stiching it in.

I know that some eagles have something similar, and there's the franklin gloves with the whole lower part of the palm with this stuff. Can someone tell me what it is?

Vaughn Hockey uses a similar coloured material that they call Diamond grip material on their Velocity blocker (which I own). I had my LHS fit a pair onto my Supreme 5000 gloves. The palms stretch like the stock XX palms so the fit is snug and they dry insanely quick. The only downside is they don't last very long.

Some boot/shoe shops that deal with leather alot will re-palm gloves, but it isn't quite the same as the factory palm you'll find on anything. It runs about 30-40 dollars in my area, so you might check around

I just got another idea. I've just read that the vapor XXX has a similar stretch palm but in all leather. Is the stretch part the gussets? Or is there just something special in the leather palm.

Also, for those with vapor XXX's, what do you all think about the palms in the XXX vs the XX? Sorry to bump an old topic, but it just arose on me.

Where would you order all white gloves from? Do they make them stock at bauer?

As for the palms, do people think I should just buy a pair of XXX's because of how expensive it's going to be either way to get them re-palmed all the time?
