Hmm....I wonder if this poll has a hidden motive... Anyway, its Datsyuk. Not only can he deke out anyone, but he can turn those dekes into great passes.

Well, it's why I put others. Everyone has a different vision of a good stickhandler. I put the 11 best I tought. Stickhandling is my favorite skills to talk about. If your favorite stickhanldler is not there, just put others and write your favorite as reply.

Still going to give the nod to Jagr. If you're just talking about pure dangling then i'd give it to Datsyuk as well but Jagr is just so damn strong on the puck and can dangle as well.

Another question why is Chistov on that list? I could name at least 10 players that are better stick handlers than him.

Well, for me Chistov is a pure dangler. He also has an amazing agility on his skates.

Martin St-Louis, that guys has some nice moves. Also, i can't imagine how the long stick he uses doesnt negatively affect his stickhandling.

Yeah, like you said, most of the great stickhandlers have short stick. But St-Louis is the kind of player who beat his opponent more with his speed than his stickhandling.

Its hard to say whos the best. Each player excels at it to a different extent.

Datsuyk = He use's fancy moves effectively

Jagr = He use's strenght and power to overcome his opponent

St. Louis = He's so small he has to use speed, agility, and puckhandling abilities to move seemlessly across the ice

Datsyuk is best stickhandler, he can pull sweet moves and still not get hit

i thought forsberg should have been on it, he has some sweet moves, not as good as Datsyuk imo, but pretty good moves

Kovaluchuk, there isn't a doubt in my mind. It seems like he is always flying and always pulling it around people.

Kovy_ribs you list is seriously messed up Chistov spent most of the year in the A and Bure's been out the whole year (like was mentioned earlier)

Yeah, and you didn't put up St. Louis or my boy Ilya, you obviously don't watch hockey. I think St. Louis is awesome on breakaways.

datsuyk has to have the softest hands in the league. he may not completely fake out a guy all the time, but all the little things he does with the puck are just incredible. kovalchuk and jagr are probably the best stickhandlers who do what they do at full speed. when they pull a move, they don't slow down at all.
