I was on the bench and the ref was right in front of me, and a guy on the other team trips over the blue line, so we both make a comment about and have a good laugh. Then I realized that I just doomed myself to the same fate. Later in the game face off in the opponents end, I'm manning the point and as I shift into position I managed to trip over the blueline myself. I knew it was coming, but still felt like a tool.

Alright I thought of one. This was during a roller game like a year ago, and my roller pants were alittle to big for me at that time. So I took a spill, and somehow that loosend my pants up. So when I stood up and skated a few strides, well I think you guys can put the rest together.

In the District tournament at like the oldest rink with the hardest boards, and old locker rooms (Mike Richter (sp.) played there as a kid) I'm on D and I go to defend a kid behind the net (I'm going almost full stride) I go up to hit him, he skates a little to the left and my left hand hits the boards and I go down, get up and fall again

First game playing against my former team, and my good friend comes to center for the faceoff against me. Before the ref got there he took the blade of his stick behind my ankle and pulled….he was trying to joke around, but I was not even paying attention……I fell straight back on my as# and my head hit the ice hard! All of this at center ice, with nothing else going on, so everyone saw; including my girlfriend and my parents in the stands. :P

mine was when i was playing in a regional championship and i forgot which way i was going and took a slap shot at my own goalie from the half way line but luckily he just managed to save it i was so embarresed but relieved that it didnt go in at the same time :(

Took I high stick right above the eye and made a cut decent enough to impare my vision. Being the cool headed cat that I am <_< , I manage to grab a guy who I though had done it, ripped his lid off and just started working him... next thing I know I got everyone on the ice staring at me, I can't really see with the blood in my eye, quickly wipe my hand across and what do I see? I see my linemate on all fours bleeding with his helmet off. Independant H.S. leauge, good times had by all.

Playing mens league, right after a goal I skated to the center ice faceoff dot to take the draw & stood there with my head down trying to catch my breath. After a few moments I realize I'm all alone & look over my shoulder. Everone is lined up at the corner circle for a face off & looking at me.

The goalie had actually made the save.

Ahhh, another one. During warmups I skated behind the goal & somehow (not paying attention) got my stick blade into the netting. The butt end hit me right in the belly, spun me around & onto my @$$ & knocked the wind out of me.

Everyone was looking at me like WTF? :lol:

Playing roller hockey, I took a penalty... Maaan I swear I barely touched him...barely ! <_<

Anyway at the end of my penalty I jump up the boarding screaming " Complete we are complete again, I'm back" ... you know the "everything-is-ok-now-I'll-handle-everything-you'r-saved" style... B)

Well as you can guess I triped on the boarding, barely landed on one skate, spinned out of control with hands and stick up and crashed on the floor.

That was a great moment of loneliness :lol:

During tryouts sophomore year, I got dressed really quickly. Someone had stolen one of my shinpads, so I had to find a similar one. So i'm 10-15 mins late, and I come charging onto the ice ready to go, first step I go flying forward, face first. I forgot to take my soakers off my skates.

We were playing in our spring playoff championship and I cracked my skate blade in warmup(I didn't notice); Everyone was lined up for the beginning faceoff and I tried to skate to the circle, but I kept falling down and had to leave the game because my blade broke.

We had the same shinguards sort of, he had the old bauer 3000 and mine were like the supreme model. His fit slightly differently, so I was stuck with one of each until the kid got brought up to my team for a game. I told him it looks like he took one during tryouts, and he handed it back over.

But what happened is that the lockerroom got essentially ransacked, and equiptment was everywhere. The upperclassmen who got cut were throwing fits and stuff so there was stuff everywhere, and this kid probally couldn't find his shinguard.

As for the fall... it was a beaut, because I was practically running onto the ice through the door. After that though, I got pretty pissed and just started smashing kids for the whole tryout that day.

Once I impaled myself on my stick, the blade became stuck in the zamboni door. I would have been embarassed but I was lying on the ice and in pain.

Another time I was going over the boards from the bench when I got caught on a nail which was sticking up and it ripped my pants open, and I was skating down the ice with this big piece of fabric from the back of my pants flapping in the wind. The ref actually stopped the game to tell me I'd ripped my pants.

Coaching a Bantam A game...and one ref is already a bit biased (it does happen)....he happens to be standing in front of me so I yell as loud as I can..."come one out there! call it even you morons!"..addressing the refs in general, not the the guy in front of me specifically of course....But see...I wear dentures....and was late so I forgot to use the paste to hold my uppers tight.

My comment was more like: "cmm'n ousht thr, cfall isht effen youf morfons" as my uppers launched from my mouth with my windy blast...and sailed out onto the ice in front of the ref....He looked down and looked back at me...my upper lip flapping as I tried to find my most comedic voice.....oph k, oph k, sho I am a bisht uff a "blowfard"....I said politely, holding my hand out.

I actually have caught the back of my skate climbing over the boards, falling face first, it really sucked

I did the same, except my pants got caught. I was hanging their until someone pushed me the rest of the way and tore my pants. :(

we have senior night towards the end of my highschool season and they allow the parents to come out and take a picture with their son. One of the kids on our team fell on his way to take a picture with his parents, and knocked them down.

tripped myself up playing in a big roller game (lots of people watching) - reached for ward to still poke the puck away from the guy i had been chasing. i fell on my chin and chipped my front tooth. duhhhhh.

Ive forgot to take off my skate guards once and just this year I had my only penalty shot and missed the net, I had the goalie beat and went to my backhand and shot it over the net.
