clearing "history"

I cant get rid of my history on my computer.

you know like what you type in say for example, www.mo

it will come up highlighted underneath www.modsquadhockey.com

i cant get rid of that.

any suggestions? i tried to delete history and temporary files and cookies but nothing will work. i looked under my history and the website i want deleted isnt even there it only comes up when i type the first # in.

if you are using IE

-click in a text field

-the list should come down

-roll over one of them and keep pressing DELETE.

thats just it...

theres nothing when i click the arrow pointing down. only when i type the # does it appear....

Do a Google for "Disk Cleaner". It's a small utility that cleans your temp files, search history, Recent Docs, Real/Media Player Recents, all with one click. I can be customized and it works pretty well to clear thngs out.

If you don't want information to appear as you type it in, if you are using IE, Go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Content --> Autocomplete --> and turn off web addresses

If you are using IE you can also try going to Tools, Then internet options, then Clear History.

I was thinking the exact same thing... when I want to clear something off the memory so it doesn't fill in like that, I do the Tools-> Internet Options-> then I clear the history and the cookies, sometimes if I just clear the history that stuff pops up again when searching on google or whatever. Turning off Autocomplete like Graz said works too.

if you go into internet options click on delete cookies, and delete files, and cleary history, all of it should go away.
