Problem with shipping

So I ordered from great skate tonite, and i got the conformation email, but my mom had columbia, alabama for our city and state and thats totally wrong (its Cary, NC) How long does it usually take a company to ship something out....Will they recognize that its nt a valid place? I have my zip code and my address, will this help at all.....I have to wit till tomorrow to call them, so i wanted to see what you guys thought

Did you place the order after hours? Everybody gets off of work at some time so they might not have even seen the order until tomorrow morning.

They should ship tomorow afternoon.

if you put your zip code in i think it should be able to got to your house. But you should call tomorrow morning

my last two orders from online retailers were shipped 5, and 3 business days after orders placed...

If only my LHS had the stuff

But what you put down is where its going.. Unless processes through a UPS/fedex ship sytem, the zip should be crossed referenced and ask to be corrected

so i'm having a problem, or at the very least confused with an item that was supposed to be shipped with UPS and arrive at my home earlier today.

My current package status on UPS reads "Exception" followed with a description "THE RECEIVER REQUESTED A HOLD FOR A FUTURE DELIVERY DATE. UPS WILL ATTEMPT DELIVERY ON DATE REQUESTED / DELIVERY RESCHEDULED." I have no idea what's going on as this status was updated no too long ago, and the last known destination the item was located is in a different city than me (same province/state) for the past 24 hrs.

is this typical of UPS when there is a delay and states the above description??

Yeah, I've had this happen to me with UPS during the holiday season. Its most likely just a delay due to high volume. Cute that they couch it as "The Receiver Requested a Hold", as if you asked for a delay...

This happens a lot - its not a deliberate attempt to cover up a delay, it's a case of someone hit the wrong code before they scanned the package or some similar bit of stupidity. Not at all atypical and not worth worrying about.
