  1. Whoa, pretty interesting look. Don't know if I like the logo half-way up the leg though.
  2. Wow, that looks amazing. If you (and Marcelo) don't mind me asking--how much does a custom shell like that cost? I'm interested in creating a team order. Thanks
  3. I don't normally show stuff off, but I'm pretty proud of my Caps equipment sale haul this year: -New Winter Classic CCM U+ CL gloves (impulse buy, probably need to sell them) -Jason Arnott Easton E-Pro gloves -Used L RBK Socks -RBK Edge Practice jersey Fun sale this year!
  4. Any chance of customizing shafts only? Plans for it in the future? I'm guessing no, but I'll keep wishing...
  5. This is going to sound ridiculous, but all I think about when I see embroidered logos is how many more grams are added to the weight by all that thread :)
  6. Damn, that makes it very likely I'm about to drop some cash on them :)
  7. Does anyone know if the custom EQ5/50s available from PSHG are made in Canada?
  8. Interesting question, but the fee is enforceable by the employees refusing to measure/fit you unless/until you pay the $20 fee. That's perfectly within their rights. This is something that is somewhat standard in the golf industry. Not necessarily for just hitting a demo driver or something like that, but pro shops routinely charge fees to go through the full iron-fitting process. The fee is almost always applied as a credit toward your purchase, if you choose to buy at the shop.
  9. aarias19 or anyone else who has EQ5c's: any chance you could weigh one of the gloves or comment on their weight compared to the EQ5 retail model?
  10. I think I've finally found a setup that I will stick with for a while: Helmet: Nike/Bauer 5500 Visor: Oakley Straight (Clear) Shoulders: ITech TechLite 655 Elbows: RBK 8k Pro (with slash guards cut off) Pants: CCM Supra HP220 Shins: Jofa 5090 (pro stock, thigh guards cut off) Skates: Bauer X:60 (Sens pro stock) Gloves: TPS R8 Response Pro Stick: Bauer X:60 65 flex 92
  11. Hahah yeah, prob true. The RIT works really well for spot dyeing too though. Geez, I'm starting to sound like a commercial for them...
  12. A lot of guys use RIT dye, or a similar product, on their holders. RIT dye has a pretty big following with LAX players who dye their sticks. I think there is a thread on here somewhere with a tutorial and the results are pretty good. Not saying your job doesn't, but if you ever need to reapply, I'd recommend RIT.
  13. The shop is called DRM Sports located in the Rockville Ice Arena, Rockville, MD.
  14. Nevermind--I got lazy since I only have a hacksaw and I just flipped the S19 and put in a standard blade. Used it this morning and it works perfectly for me--no change in performance (or I guess I'm not good enough to notice it).
  15. Tried out the 100/50 grind at stick-n-puck this morning. Definitely noticed improvement in my first few strides as well as my glide. Edges too a bit of getting used to and a couple of times I think I felt some slippage in the rear part of the blade. Nevertheless, I was pretty impressed. Stopping was a little weird--I didn't have a whole lot of confidence in the bite on my back foot. I found myself relying on the inside edge of my front foot, if that makes sense. This will probably improve with time. I may bump up to the 100/75 to see if I can get rid of the slippage though.
