He might just be referring to the stiffness at the flex notch being less stiff after the break in period. Like the Bauer 7000’s, the 04 SyNergy skate was thought to be too stiff by many who used them.

I've got the synergies now and i like them a lot. It took a few skates and the stiffness at least inside the boot decreases to a very comfortable level. So IMO just try on both pairs and see what is best for u cause they're your skates.

94 the pro stiffness has alot to do with it. You have to be Eric Lindros to break them down.

I'm on the ice 7 days a week and the durability issue is definitely resolved...

Or maybe they make pro stocks more durable or something?

I think it's just the pro stock thing. I don't think that the XXX break down as quickly as XX in retail, but from kids on my team, the problem is far from fixed.
