thenextone 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 I have a pair of V12s and Bauer Vapor 10s for ice, and im wondering which i should convert for rollerIm curious as to whether or not there will be problems, either in suitability for roller or breakdown issues when they drill holes for a new chassis? My other option is buying a pair of Mission He550...Thanks
duckjob 1 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 you should have no problem with either. every inline setup I have used in the last 8 years has been an ice skate converted to inline. 2 pairs of tacks, vectors and now mission s500's. I had a pair of 1152 tacks that were drilled for two different inline chasis on top of the prolite frame that came mounted on it.
Aussie Joe 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 Essentially the V-12 Boot is the same as either the Roller Daddy or the Hi Ho Silver (give or take a diff liner treatment or two) Having Skated in the V-12 for inline and the above mentioned skates I can tell you theres not a real issue with mounting durability. The Skates themselves fray in odd places over time (top lace eyelet on the inside of the boot for myself everytime) but otherwise they are the MOST comfortable and best performing skate I've used. To put the final nail in the coffin the V-12's are a top of the line skate whereas the X's are mid to low. Which would you prefer in hind sight? ;)
hockechamp14 0 Report post Posted April 8, 2005 I think he's talking about the OLD vapor 10's, which were top of the line, and are probally better than the XV and XVI that are out now.

stickler012 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 Which are you going to use more? Are you playing primarily ice instead of inline? Convert the ones you do not prefer (probably Vapors). If vise versa, then convert the Nikes. It all depends on what you will use more.
thenextone 0 Report post Posted April 10, 2005 This is my last season of hockey, period, so i will use my v12s for roller and stick with vapor 10 for ice.I have a paid of 9.0 D size V12s, what size chassis do you think I would need for the Red Star E-Frames? It says medium, but is their size conversion universal?
