RBK 6K shaft

Recommended Posts

Yes, I did utilize the *search* function.

What does the 6k shaft weigh? (yeah, yeah, I know balance is key....blah blah blah)

Maybe it's just me, but I'm unfamiliar with a "sock" on a shaft; as in "Seamless braided graphite sock." What part of a shaft is the sock?

Any info would be great; thanks!

The ones that I picked up at a shop the other day were around 330-340. They were very unbalanced from what I felt. But that is just MO..someone who owns one should set me straight.-

If you look at the reebok website...you would see that a sock is like a ''protective wrapping'' that you put all-around the shaft...anywayz that from what i can understand lol!!!

And yes i see the shaft and held it...well it really UNBALANCED....395 gram but seem like a V100!!!!so much unbalanced that incredible!!!!and from the picture....it seem that the paint job was nice white fading to blue...well it isnt THAT nice!

Only good thing i see to this stick is....the soft grip...not that bad...but i'm not a big fan of grip!!!personnally i would not use it...but i'm pretty sure some would like it and as for the handle nothing special

and the price is pretty step....the snake grip seem pretty nice!!!like every body,it a special grip but interesting!

As for the taper shaft at 170cnd it a pretty good deal....but the OPS is so much unbalanced..that i don't think it would change something in the balance by using another blade

FYI, the one I just found in the showroom weighs 370g on the scale. Remember this weight is with a full 56" shaft

all taper shafts are "shaft heavy" without a blade...they TAPER meaning the bottom end is thiner and therefore weighing less. rocket science :)

Shaft heavy for me.

How can you call it "shaft heavy" if you only held the shaft? <_<

Because I didn't only feel the shaft. They had a blade in one, and the others were bladeless.

Well...I don't totally agree with you...My R2 XN10 without blade...did not seem shaft heavy in my opinions...but the synthesis do...and the other shaft..seem more heavy than the XN10 but not as heavy as the Synthesis!

Well...that my opinions!

I own a TPS R2 with a synthesis hybrid blade and I must say it weighs less than the 6K (with blade) when i tried it out at my LHS. The paint job looks so nice on the website but it's nothing special when you see it actually.

I am currently switching from synthesis to 6k shaft and so far they have been good (only used twice so far) the weight seems similar. The reason i changed was that the synthesis didnt have any grip and i got sick of adding grip. I think my shot has gotten better too. I think its a very god buy.

So the RBK 6K Shaft is around 370 grams? That's pretty heavy compared to the XN10's or Redlight XN10 shaft. How about the RBK 5K Shaft? Is it true that it is lighter than the 6K?

Go with the Xn10

The RBK 2-piece Combo's are extremely light weight. They aren't bad, but aren't great. A 5K w/ RBK blade will be in the ballpark of a 6K w/ Reebok blade.

Haha... I have the XN10 Shaft and R2 blade. I love the lightness of my stick but I hate the curve selection TPS has. I'm considering switching over to RBK, that's why I'm asking about the weight difference. I know the one piece 7K is super light but I don't want an OPS. They should've made a RBK shaft that's super light (like the 7K OPS).

why not get a RBK 6K blade and fire it into the r2 Xn10? Keep the lightness, add some curves. Get an Easton, Bauer, Mission if you find you like one of their curves.

Actually I like the RBK Datsyuk and Amonte curves. Is the RBK 6K blade as light as the R2 blade? I find the R2 blade to be the lightest and it's well balanced on my XN10 shaft. I tried using an EASTON systhesis blade before and it seemed to be bottom heavy.

I don't think the RBK is that far off the R2. If your really worried about it, cut down the shaft and add a wood plug for balance and to regain length.

rbk pronger curve is wicked nice kinda different than most heels ive seen too not too much shovel to it, but enough. im not a fan of modano curves, and datsyuk and amonte curves kinda suck IMO

I don´t think the 6K blade is that light at all. Compared to an Inno it is heavy.
