i may live in canada myself but this years team is has to many weak players,D without scott niedermayer seems really slow and on top of that we'll be playing on the bigger ice. i would have to go with the russians myself with Datsyuk being the key. we all know most of the russians would kill their own mothers to get a goal but their teamwork has always been lacking... i think with datsyuk being the top C on this years team it should help out a lot. btw does anyone know if samsonov will be on the team? if he is i think it's a sure bet for a win..

Canada always seems to do well in these things, but right now Russia is looking like they have possibly the best offense, USA is lookin more like bronze material, Im waitin for the rosters from Sweeden and Czech Rep.

I would expect a European team to be more likely as so much of the upper talent from Canada and the US have not been playing high level competitive hockey and will probably have trouble making the pace adjustments due both to weaker conditioning as well as playing at lower intensity levels. In fact I would not be surprised to see some pretty humiliating hockey during these championships.

My pick is Canada. Canada is still the best all-around team.

My predictions:

1. Canada

2. Russia

3. Finland or USA
