1 pointAgreed. Doesnt help that I'm OCD and wanted it flush and I had no idea it was common. Almost broke my shaft trying to get it in.

1 pointDespite mine having a large gap on one side (where the blade inserts into the shaft) it feels solid and works well. I do think this is something Base should clean up though. Sure it still works but it looks like crap and for a new-ish up and coming company it doesn't help their reputation when someone first receives thier long awaited custom stick or when friends are checking out Base for the first time. The little things do matter......

1 pointYeah - I thought I had mine dialed in pretty good with the alignment ring, but when testing with the Edge Checker I was still off by about 1 tick mark. I'd recommend anyone with a Sparx to get a good Edge Checker, and use the instructions Sparx provides with theirs to really dial in your alignment so that you know you are getting perfect edges every time.
