Sparx Skate Sharpener - At home sharpener

i think you just said it yourself. i doubt it was an easy decision for them to discontinue it and they had to wrestle with the idea too. but ultimately the risk outweighed the reward. and the majority of sparx consumers are still happy with the machine without it. -

Mine took about 4 weeks from the time I ordered to the time I got it. And it was during the holidays too. -

Well it’s only been one skate but so far so good. I was suspicious cause it was so easy to use and simple to set up. I figured something was gonna be wrong with my skates when I used them today. But they felt awesome. -

You’re welcome! Ps just un-boxed mine last night and was pleasantly surprised to get the beer koozie! Can’t wait to set it up and get on the ice. -

Looks like the machines are on back order. Must be busy with the holiday season. If it isn’t too invasive , on avg how many machines do they sell a month ? -

Answer my question more directly opposed To referring me to a link. as I was clearly confused by the wording on their policy and that is why I emailed them in the first place. In my industry you do what you can to make a sale. I don’t believe in a take it or leave it approach. Just seems silly to me to not honour a warranty over something as simple as an address. May there is something I’m unaware of. But if that’s how they do business, then that’s up to them. That part doesn’t leave sour taste BTW. I respect their decision, I just don’t agree with it. -

I may not be getting one after all. I am in Canada but looking to ship to a US address to save some $. But it doesn’t look like they will honour the warranty if I do that. I emailed with them and basically got forwarded to their warranty page I already read. Kind of left a sour taste in my mouth as I was pretty excited to get one. -

There are different fits for different people. The appeal to me (also not handy) is not having to learn a new skill in my busy life. So unless someone can sell me a machine , set it up at my house. Then walk me through how to do it. It’s not an endeavour I’m willing to take on. -

Yes I saw that video too. He also had another one reviewing the machine. In that video and others they have commented on how solid/substantial of a machine it is, how he has travelled with it all over and how well it has held up. I’m not sure I agree with your point but at the same time I only plan on using it for my family anyway. -

Bingo. Ya there are closer places but they are not reliable. I play twice a week and have 2 sons that will only be skating more as they get older. For me it’s more of a convenience thing than any type of cost savings -
