Video is out too...

From a hockey fan perspective, this is what you want to see in a series. It will be interesting to see if the Leafs' core can learn from loss and become a top-tier team in the East.

Definitely a weak goal but when your offense lays a goose egg, its tough to blame the 'tender.

He also mentioned Pure is not going to carry the TF7. I assume that is to prevent talking away from Bauer sales.

Yea, that what I noticed. I haven't been to any rink/pro shop since March but wanted to make sure that what I saw on PH's website was reflective of what you'd experience in person. IW does seem to be all over it when it comes to True offerings and did notice the prostock sticks that are now on sale. It would be a good time to load up on some new gear if someone was in the market.

For reference, Bauer scanner puts me in Fit 1 - so my foot is pretty unremarkable and made for a Vapor. Tried the TF9 on and noticed straight away that there was much more room in the forefoot than a Supertacks or even Supreme/Vapor Fit 1.
Not sure if True has come out and said what type of fit or last it's built off of. Also, not entirely sure that's how the final fit was supposed to feel, as this was pre baking. They are super, super light and I really like the skate otherwise. The bang for the buck @ $599 is great.
Is Pure participating in the Rebate deal? I didn't see anything on their website (unlike IW who makes it clearly known).

It seems that lack playoff experience rears its ugly head throughout this series. McDavid showed up for the most part but in typical EDM fashion, the help he needed was inconsistent at best.
-
Pretty much. Was looking forward to see this series go all 5 games with two teams that really don't like each other. CGY may have still won but WPG was fighting an uphill battle.
-
Jarry is getting the next start so we'll see if that makes a difference in this series.

Interesting point given that the current model is sold out per Sparx's corporate website. What you suggest would make sense. Could they just completely end making the ES100?

That's the way to do. Something I'll consider especially if they can offer a cheaper unit.

Just saw this on IG. Looking like they could be offering a cheaper version. Nice.

Surprise to hear that inline is on the decline but I guess being in Philadelphia area we have hockey all year round for both ice and inline. I'd never do dek hockey mainly due to spare my shins and knees the unnecessary wear and tear.

Yea, I play with a couple of guys who have one. One of them sharpens skates for the guys for the pickup groups at one the rinks. I'm sure he does well for himself.

If electrical, they could just cap off available electrical outlets if there are any. Some of the rinks I skate in don't have electrical outlets in the locker rooms.
No doubt. Most of the rinks in my are have tournaments regularly throughout the calendar year. All I know is that there is business to be lost at some of the bigger rinks in my area if youth/adult teams consider this potentially portable-friendly Sparx machince.
-
Whatever drives the price down of the original one haha. In all seriousness, it will be interesting to see how this effects proshops at rinks. As a youth coach myself, I can see one of the parents getting one for the team. All those sharpenings that would go to the rink now would go to a more portable Sparx unit. It'll be interesting nonetheless...
-
You knew it was going to happen to at least one team haha. And the fact that he undressed DeAngelo made it that much sweeter👍
-
Tale of two halves haha. TOR was much more active on the forecheck it seemed. And yes, hopefully Muzzin is okay. Never good to see anyone level the field of play on a stretcher...
-
It's an intriguing offer. I don't know when I'll get back to hockey but I'll need a pair of boots for my Marsblade R1's. I'd be curious about the fit too. It seems that it would work with my foot but would like Mako-like fit with a little bit more room in the toe box area.
-
So far this has been the best series. These boys really don't like each other!
-
Yea, this was what I expected IF the Blue Jackets were play their game. I enjoy watching TOR but dare I say they are somewhat soft? Maybe they're just young and need to get the taste of losing first...
-
Wish the camera was closer but understand that no one is "manning" the unit so this is the best way to get the whole rink.

It will be interesting to see how the NFL handles their season because you're right: no bubble is a recipe for failure.

The games have been fun to watch! And having hockey starting at noon while working from home has been fantastic!

Saw that about 30 mins ago. I'd be interested especially if the original unit gets a discounted price.

LOL.
Hayes looked like a beast all night for you guys. He owes Malkin a beer for that turnover at the end of the 1st though. 🙂
MarkHayes has been a pleasant surprise!

$700 bucks seems reasonable given the proven track recorded here on MSH. Not sure when I'd get one but I know I'm committed to playing hockey for long time and hope to get one sooner than later.
