My Flyers with a huge "pre-season" win haha. Just nice to have hockey on the tube again...

JR will get in contact with you when with his address once you submit your order.

Definitely the more economic choice. And always better safe then sorry.

Good point. The Leafs never came off as a time that "grind it out" if any form of adversity came their way. At least from my POV...

Are they going to be drafting this year? Or will it be the 2021 Draft? Because it would be a good time to debut it if they are drafting this year.

I'm leaning towards the Leafs because I think younger legs will handle the layoff better. This and the CGY-WPG series are the two I'm really looking forward to.

This may be the most interesting matchup in the first round. This layoff can bring forth a completely different team than what we saw in March.

Your opinion is wrong.

Love the name. Logo is horrid. All it makes me wonder is if the Seagrams logo guy got a new job. Also, its the best thing ever that die hard fans will be the krak-heads.
MarkWell, your opinion is wrong too then haha. And by the way, Seagrams is a quality item!

As a former native, what name would you want instead?

I like the logo but agree with the color scheme. I just like how they incorporated Seattle and Kraken within the 'S' itself. Not overly complicated but does it good job with doing so. Similar to the Flyers' logo.

I really like the logo. Let's get back to hockey boys!

Makes sense to go with Kraken. I like the ring of it.

Yea, I ordered my at the $99 (lowest) price point. The only thing that the arrival of the R1 chassis is when I start to look for a pair of ice hockey boots to convert over to inline.

That's what I'm thinking. Not sure when I'll be back to playing hockey but figured this thread would like to know any official update.

Just got the following email (I preordered the R1 chassis only in Size Large):
ORDER UPDATE
Hi!
We hope you're staying safe and active during these challenging times.
We know you're eagerly waiting to hit the roller hockey rink with your brand new R1 chassis.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, our suppliers, manufacturers and logistics partners have experienced very challenging work and export conditions which have resulted in these products being shipped from the factory a bit later than scheduled.
We have just received an update from our manufacturer and your R1 chassis are currently in the final phase of production and being prepared for pickup at the factory at the end of July. To catch up with these unforeseen delays to best of our ability, we have booked express shipment from the factory and UPS estimate to deliver the products to our warehouse in August week 33.
To speed up the process further and ensure you get your R1's as soon as possible, we'll employ extra staff to fulfill and dispatch orders once we receive the products.
You'll receive a shipping confirmation including a tracking number once your order has been shipped. We're thankful for your patience and understanding. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
Best Regards,
The Marsblade Team -
Only way to go! May have to get NHL.TV for the remainder of the season. Anyone know how much it will cost?

Pretty lame if you ask me, since if I don't want the holders, why must I pay for them if True offers boots only?!
Maybe because they know that people won't be lining up to buy just their holders? That would be my only guess.

We get a couple of games in late July. It will be nice to have hockey (and basketball) back. Enjoyable having European club soccer on in the background while I work from home.

Saw that ad myself and was curious especially with me pre-ordering the Marsblade R1 and wanting to get another set of Konixx wheels to boot. I'm a fan of Konixx wheels and have never used "top-end" bearings. It seems like a pretty good deal unless you swear by Swiss Bones or something of the like.

I've always liked the idea of converting an ice boot for inline usage. I'm sure inline boots are more than capable but I'd think ice boots hold up better. Like @althoma1 said used/clearance ice boots would be the best way to go (assuming you don't have an older pair of ice boots laying around).

Sounds about right. It's almost like you need to cycle through the "regulars" and hope that they both don't get (severely) sick and don't get sick again. Just tough to control because you know not everyone is taking the necessary precautions.
-
I wouldn't mind outdoor inline right about now. Sucks missing out on hockey (both ice and inline) but I just don't feel comfortable playing indoors when that is considered a 'high risk' activity.

I would much rather have kept the summer ratcheted down and not ruined fall/winter. We'll see.
Yea, I'm on the eastern side of PA and youth hockey is in full swing. I don't have any kids but I do coach and officiate so it will be interesting to see what happens. I know our club (Tier II Travel) has tryouts starting Sunday. And officiating assignments have been going out over the last couple of days for youth spring league. Who knows what the Fall/Winter holds for us though...

Yea, watching right now. We'll see where Lafrenière is slatted to go. Just nice to have a NHL event on TV.

Quarantine/Post-Quarantine purchases
in Ice Hockey Equipment
Posted · Report reply
Outside of the Marsblade R1, the only thing I expect to purchase are a pair of ice hockey skates to convert to inline. I don't expect to play any form of hockey any time soon. I'm at the point now that I may sell of my current equipment (along with other equipment that I don't use any more) and look to upgrade some time in 2021.
