  1. I remember seeing those over on S2K.
  2. Yeah! Z-Airs! Oh man those bring back memories. I'm trying to get a pair of them exactly like Forsberg's. http://prostocknation.files.wordpress.com/2011/02/foppa.jpg http://media.mwcradio.com/mimesis/2011-02/14/2011-02-14T180946Z_01_BTRE71D1EGH00_RTROPTP_3_SPORTS-US-NHL-AVALANCHE-FORSBERG_JPG_475x310_q85.jpg
  3. Those are sweet! Where did he get them?
  4. Yeah IW and HM are good with shipping but that Pure Hockey sale was amazing. 2 Dolos and Warrior Pro Bully's for 160 shipped? You can't beat that.
  5. Wow, you guys got all your stuff from Pure Hockey sale already? I hate being on the west coast sometimes :( Peaches is on the road with Portland I believe so his lead time and response time may be not be what you'd like.
  6. I don't get the point of pro stock gear, period. I'm not a fan of wearing used gear or gear made specifically for someone else.
  7. I love my S30. It's just as good as any Bauer or Oakley visor I've owned for half the cost. The anti-fog does work but not so much the anti-scratch.
  8. All AAA gets vintage colors and AA and A/B get black and white.
  9. Yeah, those are the Jr Kings. Last year they were issued EQ50's I believe. I used to play for them and my parents still keep in touch with the other parents and apparently they're getting hooked up with equipment up the whazoo. I think they started wearing the Kings' vintage colors last season. I'm heading up to LA tomorrow to pick these up from Jake's. Don't know if they're pro stock or retail but I really don't care.
  10. She smelled the stank of the blood, sweat, and tears of the SE Asian child labor work force.
  11. Are the Winnwells that good? I'd pick the 852's over Franchises any day. $250 for a pair of gloves is ridiculous.
  12. I have a problem with buying something impulsively then doing research later.
  13. If they had intermediate sticks I'd be all over the 405. Instead, I'm going to grab Hockeygiant's $50 S13 deal today.
  14. Do you guys get mad when guys come into the shop with already sharp blades but still want to get them sharpened again? Asking because I'm thinking of stopping by my LHS sometime this week to get them sharpened again even though it has been fewer than half a dozen skates. They just don't feel right on the ice.
  15. When I was 14 I worked at a pro shop for a month and I hated when guys would come in and grab pants from one end and put them back at the opposite end. I ORGANIZED THE WHOLE RACK BY COLOR AND SIZE YOU ASSHOLES.
  16. So...do you tuck or do you flop?
  17. 99% of your posts in this thread have been somewhat critical of Tron either straight up or in a backhanded sort of way. Do you have some sort of personal vendetta against them? Yeah, their idea of using Bauer and Easton graphics is pretty lame (sounds like a boss didn't think his decision through) but they have plenty of other sticks to choose from with their own original graphics.
  18. Can I ask where you got that? I'd like one too. My mom and aunt are both survivors of breast cancer.
  19. Yeah, I love their sticks and visors.
  20. Yeah, I agree. I'm loving the visor especially for $15. Gonna pick up the 30 model which is fog and scratch resistent. It was out of stock when I picked up the 20.
  21. Awesome, thanks. After skating on them this morning I need to do a few things before I use them for games. The boot needs to be punched out in a couple spots and I'm going to get the tendon guard fixed. The previous owner took off the skates by pulling on the guard and it looks and feels broken. These skates are also a lot heavier than I remember but I have been wearing One100's and One40's for the past few years.
  22. Recently picked these up. Previous owner used it maybe half a dozen times. They're 7.5D's and I thought they were going to be too big and too narrow (I wear 7EE Bauer Supremes right now) but they fit like a charm. Haven't skated on them yet though. Can anyone date the 652's by any chance? They have the Fit System insoles but it doesn't say Fit System on the back of the tendon guard.
  23. On the One40 skates you can't remove the blade from the holder since it's a single piece :(
  24. Longtime lurker first time poster... I've ordered quite a few things from Tron in the past month (Bauer One40 skates, Superfeet, a bunch of tape and skate blade covers) and most recently a Tron Legacy stick while I was at the store. When I got my skates they weren't sharpened yet even though I asked for them to be sharpened when I checked out online. They were $125 on Tron and $105 at HockeyGiant and I figured the difference in price can be justified if I can get them sharpened before they get to me (I'm a newb to online ordering and didn't do my homework well enough to learn that HG can sharpen for no additional cost as well). So I called them up and asked and they pretty much told me "tough luck but at least you didn't pay for skate sharpening" so I brought up the price difference between them and HG and the sales rep told me he'd refund me $20 for store credit or something. 4 weeks later still haven't received anything of that sort. I was planning on using whatever money they gave me back to pay for the $15 new skate sharpening my LHS charged. Like I said, it has been 4 weeks so I'm over it. The fast shipping got me ordering stuff from them again. About a week after ordering the skates I placed an order online for the Superfeet and wanted to pick them up at the Carlsbad location since I work around the area. I ordered on Thursday early afternoon and figured they can get it down to their warehouse in Carlsbad Friday. I get an email Friday morning in the form of some sort of receipt and the words "will call" in the shipping line. This email was sent after I already got my order confirmation the day before so I thought it was to let me know I could go pick up my insoles. I get to the warehouse and there is nothing for me. The nice folks at the warehouse told me they'd come in on Saturday even though they are not normally open in the case my insoles get to them Friday night and I could get pick them up Saturday morning. Friday day I had some free hours at work so I decided to give Hockey Tron a call and kind of see where my insoles are and they said they'd get back to me by the end of the day. I never got any email or phone call. Saturday morning I drove up to Carlsbad and my insoles were there and like the warehouse folks said, the insoles got to them Friday night. Fast forward about 3 weeks after that and I am having some issues with my One40 skates. My parents don't pay for my gear anymore and I can't justify spending $600+ on skates at my current pay rate so I decided to spring for the lower end One40's. I am not sure what happened but after a game I notice my right skate is making some clicking noses when I walk around in them. No effect on on-ice performance but I wanted to see what the problem was in case something goes wrong in the middle of a game. I just happen to be driving up to LA the next day to visit my parents and Hockey Tron is on my way home so I stop by and bring in my skates. There's nothing they can do about it and all I was given was a warranty card and told to contact Bauer directly. I also asked about trying to exchange my Superfeet to a different size and they said there was nothing they can do even if I haven't cut my insoles yet. I didn't realize until I got home that Superfeet has a 60 day satisfaction guarantee so technically Tron should have been able to take back my old insoles and give me new ones. Again, my fault on not doing my homework prior. The sales rep realized I drove up from San Diego and neither of my problem were remedied so he gave me a sweet deal on their Legacy sticks. Originally marked at $80 he sold it to me at $50 which I appreciated. The stick itself is really really really whippy. I believe the flex is 85 and I have been using intermediate sticks for 2 years and I feel like it is whipper than the 67 flex intermediate sticks. I've only used it once so I will see how well it holds up the next couple of weeks. To conclude, I am not 100% satisfied with the customer service at Hockey Tron but there were some upsides to dealing with them. A few of the people who helped me out along the way went out of their way to make sure I was taken care of and that is something I really appreciate.
