Yeah I was sized on the Footdisk, just to get something to go on and will get measured up again when they get the new tool and training. thanks
-
Do you know how they are sized, my LHS said there was some new way of fitting them since the boot is so different. got measured up as a 7.5D in ccm but wear an 8D in the reebok Ribcors. should I go with the 7.5?
-
Are these going to be available in the UK?
-
cool thanks, I'm defiantly going to try a pair on. A lot of times I get pain at the sides of both my feet straight after taking my skates off so maybe the Ribcor's are a bit to narrow, never had this problem with my 11k but I think they were wider. just that I did it once on a pair of Alkali skates and had nothing but problems with the fit.
-
I'm also wondering about this, current Ribcor's are falling apart.Since the super tacks is a 360 fit shouldn't it just the with of any players foot after being molded? wonder if they need to be heat moulded too?, don't really like doing that.

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
GQRDY replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
I Just put My old RBK 11K ice boots into the shop to get the chassis put on from my brothers old Mission Axiom T9 (hi-lo). Presuming all goes well the holes left over from the ice chassis and vent holes will they be a problem? do I need to plug them somehow?sure I read somewhere ( maybe here ) about sweat falling onto the wheels from the holes.- 2854 replies

after skating in my skates again Thursday, i'm not sure that i'm having the same issue as the Vet88 , because my skates felt much more comfortable on my feet. and was able to get them a lot tighter as well there was still as small amount of pain where they had rubbed previously, but i'm just putting it down to not being tight enough the first time.they still did feel way better on my left foot than my right, but then my right foot is smaller .i'm hoping when i use them next week there even better thanks for the advice Justin but i wouldn't want to stretch the boot unless there was no other option because once its done it cant be undone.i normally wear a D width skate without any issues.il wait and see how they feel next time

well at least i know whats coming. but yeah im only on them twice a week 1.5 hours each time so fingers crossed.i get the same pain sometimes on my ice skates if they havent been used in over a week. i thought u could maybestick something in with no more nails or some like superglue substance. if it starts happining to me somethings going to have to be done, il problay try vaseline on thursday see what happens.

ah well , taping my feet sounds like to much hassle haha

someone said to me try rubbing vaseline on my sock at the part that its rubbing might try that. or my reebok ice hockey skates hae like the impact gel across the seam but dont think theres any way to really stick some to the inside of the boot where the join is.

but unlike you im not realy getting any pain while skating, its just afterwards when i take my skates of that i get the pain, and like you can see they've been rubbing my feet, but the pains gone prety quickly like 1 mins.

I got my skates baked on the weekend after not using them for a while due to games. and skated on them tonight they feel great apart from not used to the all 80mm chassis coming from a Reebok tri-di. but i'm getting pain where the boot and toe cap meet , more on my right foot that my left since its a little smaller, i didn't feel like i could get them tight enough because there still new and a little stiff.my foot was slipping a little was just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue and if it goes away after the skates are properly broken in ??

yeah, i think i have changed my mind about that.I don't normally bake my skates i just break them in buy wearing them.I think that is what i am going to do with these, i dont trust myself to do it in my oven either. but i train twice a week so it shouldn't take to long.

My skates should be getting delivered tomorrow sometime, cant wait. I will let you know if my skates are like this. I was just wondering if anyone who has the skates has noticed anything with the little height difference because its a little higher than other makes like having to extend your sticks or anything.

thanks, i could fit a pencil between the boot and my heel so i will probably go for size 8.Then probably get them heat molded if i can, dont know if i trust myself doing it at home. just in case anyone else is interested i emailed alkali directly and got a super quick reply from Jay Russel. "Our skates run pretty similar to an RBK which should run 1.5 sizes smaller than your actual shoe size. If you are a 9.5 shoe (US) then I would go with an 8 skate. I would go with the size 8…we have a few RBK skates laying around the office and I compared sizing just to be on the safe side and the 8 are pretty exact."

I am going to be ordering a pair of CA9 and i am just a bit confused about what size to buy, i wear Reebok ice and roller hockey skates at the moment and they both are sized. US : 9.5 EUR : 42.5 UK : 8.5 CM: 26.9 skate size 8D I thought i would be an 8.5? would that be right? also do the skates really need to be heat moulded? i have never done this for skates i have just broken them in buy wearing them?
