  1. Hi @JSchultz , we have seen some, although very few with this issue. In all cases there's been wheels with bigger diameter than stated on the wheels (80 or 76mm). We have not seen any issues with our own Revision wheel or other brand wheels we have measured. Is it possible to put enough time on them so that the wheels will wear down enough and spin properly or is it impossible to skate? If you have a caliper available and you're able to measure the width between the wheels it would help us clear out if your specific chassis is outside tolerance. I've forwarded this issue to our engineering team. Best regards Per Mars, Inventor
  2. @greasy17 Makes the Marsblade team glad to hear how much you enjoy them! //Per and the team @Westside We are looking at adding a smaller single radius (we already have the 8ft single radius insert option) but not sure if and when we would do that. We chose not to do that right now because a smaller front radius than the 8ft will give a higher chassis since more room in the front is needed for the rocker. Also the R1 has longer wheel base which gives more stability so that part is not ideal for off ice training. We want to make the best products for its specific purpose so rather than making something that works decent for off ice training and roller hockey we want the R1 to be as good as it can be for roller hockey and the O1 as good as it can be for off ice training. Hope that makes sense. //Per, Inventor
  3. No the shop did not need to do anything. The R1 chassis is a performance chassis vs the training O1 chassis. The R1 chassis has more support (larger front radius) vs the O1 chassis and therefore will give you more stability and support when pushing off. This is why there's less of a dramatic change vs a rigid chassis. The O1 chassis has a 4ft single radius. The radius with the most amount of movement on the R1 has 5ft (heel) - 8ft (toe). So the toe has a twice as large radius on the R1 vs O1, which is very significant. //Per, Inventor
  4. The blue silver combo was just prototypes. //Per
  5. No, one of the inserts needs to be mounted to keep the right distance between the upper and lower chassis. If one is not mounted it will created damage to the chassis. On the R1 the bolt is intended to be tightened all the way until there's a stop. So the rocker movement is decided with what insert you're using rather than how tight the bolt is. //Per, Inventor
  6. @busdriver The O1 has a single 4ft radius //Per, Inventor
  7. Hi! There's no stop on tightening the bolt on the O1 right now, so there's no definition of "all the way". I'm just suggesting if you adjust it with 90 / 180 degrees at a time that should be enough to feel the change in resistance. //Per
  8. @YesLanges I'd say a quarter or half of a full rotation of the bolt should be something you can notice in feel. So 90 or 180 degrees that is. //Per
  9. If you can feel the chassis clunk you have the center bolt too loose, try tightening it a bit. Yes, well aware that this is not ideal. We'll look at a dial marking for the 2.0. //Per Mars, inventor
  10. The Frame/chassis spacers are not intended to be adjusted just tightened firmly, they are put there to get side stability. //Per
  11. @primo Ok, sorry to hear about the confusion... Yes, I'd say it's better to change to a size Large... @YesLanges Great to hear you found a boot with a good fit! //Per
  12. Good to hear! For most boots this is not an issue so I'm afraid we don't have a solution from our end. Experienced pro shops or equipment managers use various kinds of shims to take up the space if needed. //Per
  13. Vs the O1, the R1 chassis has a larger radius to provide more support and stability when pushing off. The smaller radius in the rear allows to still get the smoothness in turns and longer wheel contact with the surface. It offers 4 different interchangeable radius inserts so you can customize according to personal preference. The O1 has a straight 4 ft radius. The R1 comes with the combinations: 5 (rear)-8 (front) ft, 8-8ft, 5-15ft and 8-15ft. //Per, Inventor
  14. Hi, If the leaf spring is broken I can send a new one, no problem. There should be no movement at the front. Feel free to send me an e-mail at per@marsblade.com and I'll set you up with a new spring. //Per
  15. Sounds good! We're very excited about this launch! We already have had national team players using them in the World Roller Games in Barcelona, NARCH and other top tournaments. Apart from the aluminum there's other performance enhancement features. It's a game changer for roller hockey no doubt 🙂
  16. Hey! Yes, we're actually in the process of finalizing the designs of a performance roller hockey version of the frame, with the lower frame in aluminum. Keep your eyes open for this. We'll start a pre-order campaign later this fall. //Per
  17. @_RH_ yes, there should be a custom wrench included in the kit with the extra wheels, folder etc
  18. @Coldclay Did you receive the new components I sent? Did you figure out how to install them? //Per
  19. @Konig von Kuhlem Although they are slightly heavier most guys experience that they get greater benefits of the technology once they are used to maximizing the technology. Just like Niklas Kronwall mentions in this interview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T7VTs3guzNA. It will probably take a couple of skates to get dialed in changing some movements and getting used to the technology. There will be some adjusting in how / when you put pressure etc. Try to exaggerate the length of each stride and have long strong pushes. And try to really trust the edges more than you’re used to, especially turning and crossing over. It's possible that you'd like to adjust the rocker settings to start with a smaller rocker to get used to the technology as well. We have made some new components that I'd be happy to send to you if you would like to test that. Let me know if you have any questions. //Per Mars
  20. @YesLanges Are you currently on the same profile/pitch that you normally use? It's possible you would want to make adjustments on profiling. Also possible that the transition time is longer for you. //Per
  21. They are certainly approved for usage in the NHL and Niklas has been wearing them non stop since training camp. //Per
  22. Yes, we have initiated the work on a 2.0 version that will have a quick release, be lighter and in plastic. In terms of durability we haven't had any issues apart from cosmetic wear and paint chipping. Yes, for best performance of the rocker the upper part needs to be stiff and we therefore went with carbon fiber in the First Edition. //Per
  23. True... And because of age and him not being the best skater he told me "I need all the help I can get", and he thinks our holder provides an advantage for him, keeping up with the young and fast skaters 🙂 We also have two top guys in the Swedish SHL that made the switch to Marsblade just before playoffs last year. Liam Reddox, former Edmonton Oiler and captain of the Swedish champions Växjö Lakers and Andreas Thuresson HV71, with approximately 60 games for Swedish national team. Both great skaters and both scored in the SHL playoffs the other night. The reason we didn't have more players in the NHL, SHL, KHL and other leagues is simply because we didn't have products to start serving more guys last fall/summer. Next season we will have more NHL players and great skaters using Marsblade. //Per
  24. Just wanted to share some of the good feedback we have received from Kickstarter backers to balance the negative comments here in the thread. //Per
