Hi Per are there still plans for the marsblade to be made with different materials like alloy or mag?
-
Mag chassis have a reputation for durability issues so was wondering what sort of experience people have had with them. Are yours the straight 80’s?
-
Anyone got the Revision Mag chassis on there boots ? Looking for some reviews on it as there’s not much talk on them apart from there website or the fact that there on True skates.
-
That’s a ice boot conversion, no vents near the toe cap & never seen that chassis before , dos’nt even look like a hockey chassis.

Best bearings for the money
Sprungdownunder replied to bogeywhite's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
Agree with others about bones Swiss 6 but I went one step further I replaced the OG balls with ceramic balls. If you can get your hands onto Rons rocket bearings there probably the best your going to get & they are competitively priced ! -
Advice Kuzak old school chassis set up
Sprungdownunder replied to Sprungdownunder's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
Thx for the response, I tried the 76-80-72-72 set up it the backyard & it was great with low speed /area I had to try it out but the 80mm wheel took a beating & not so sure how it would go with top end speed & at a rink. That being said I did some more research into it & found out its the kuzak split chassis which uses 76-76-68-68 for lower centre of gravity. Looks like I will just stick with that set up in the rink ATM. -
So I want to go back to old school style frame which is the kuzak low profile chassis I think it came out as a 68-68-72-72 but I was wondering if anyone has tried a rocketed set up of 72-72-80-76 which gives you a 3 forward rocker & a 2 wheel backward rocker, or should I just stick to the OG set up. Looking for People’s past experiences & there thoughts on it.

Sounds like your sprungs get more of a work out then mine. After each game a blow them clean with compressed air as our sport court dosnt get cleaned often enough, twice a year I pull them apart clean them throughly then let the arms sit in a bucket of water for day or two. Also for a year they were seeing about 2 games a week now I have retired them to one day on sports court as the mlx carbon toe dosnt like the smooth painted concrete , I have another pair of A7's on some ccm pro tacks for the painted concrete rink.so should see me through for a good number of years.
-
Thought I'd mention my A7 MLX combo is going great after a year worth of abuse, I have yet to break anything on the A7's, love em.
-
The A6X chassis & arms have been out for awhile now , should be available from there website only.

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
Sprungdownunder replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
Sell both the Hummer and the Redstar chassis and invest the money from the sale into either a Sprung or Marsblade chassis. Those two will give you a more ice like feeling than any flat chassis. I haven't used the Marsblade chassis, but those that have seem to like it a lot vs. the hi lo or hummer. I have used the Sprungs for several years and it definitely allows for an ice like toe kick, tighter turns and it's easier to stop vs. a flat chassis. I agree with Althoma , I come from a ice background & for many years found it hard to do a two footed hockey stop, that all changed with sprungs. Nothing wrong with ice boots either, I have MLX's & it's amazing, love the fit seems like they were made for roller , robust as.Try Justin's skates & then when you are not so much in a rush to get a pair get a pair of sprungs or mars blades & see the difference, you will never go back to rigid a again. By the way I am 175 plb & run 2 82 a world cups in the middle & 2 78a splits at the end & I have plenty of grip & speed & only run 72mm wheels fantastic agility, another benefit of sprungs.- 2845 replies

O.k thanks per, I would like to try them at one stage , so good to no they are available, for shipping down here.
-
Hi Per , what happen to the big launch last spring, can you order chassis only ? , can they be shipped out down under?
-
I would if I could but it looks like the sprung website is totally out of stock and has been for almost 4-6 months, I'm afraid that they are just not making them anymore I don't no what website you are looking at but the only thing they are out of stock is the A6 arms?
-
That's pretty good going out of a pair of sprungs. Seems like the durability issues are reasonable now.
-
How are you guys going with the new sprungs? , any breaks , I have not broken any a6x or a7 arms & I play 2 games a week skating hard , banging around for 7 or 8 months.i also like the tighter tolerance in the arms which keeps the wheels snug.
-
For the price u are better off buying them new.$15 and piece of mind that they are new and don't have any hairline cracks u might not see.

I have found rink rats to be the best on sports court, do not use 80mm. I am similar weight & used 76mm for a while & recently swaped to 72 mm wheels.I have found that the top end speed is not worth the sacrifice of the egilaty of the smaller wheels, you really don't lose too much speed, I have spent time on all of them & have come to that conclusion,78a hardness as well. It is only top end (rolling) speed you lose which on inline courts really doesnt matter.

Hey puckface A7 are definetly suited better for your 9's, I have tried the new A6's on my size 9 ' s & yes they can take a beating & did not break but I get more control & better cornering & stopping out of the A7's.

Putting larger holders on skates (?)
Sprungdownunder replied to bogeywhite's topic in Ice Hockey Equipment
I have noticed that my size 9 mlx which is the same size as my size 9 tack skates run holders that are bigger then the ccm pro lite 287 which ccm use for there 9.5- 10 size boot. Someone else might have a better answer but I think they do it for better speed & balance at the slight cost of agility, it would be a personal preference based on your style of game. -
Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
Sprungdownunder replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
I have heard that it weakens the outsole , my experience with carbon outsoles is great I have put on one pair of tacks 4 different chassis & still going fine, that's just my experience but I weigh 175 pounds so maybe that helps.- 2845 replies

Hey those marsblades look like they raise the centre of gravity a fair bit,do you feel it?
