The M5 was replaced, yes, but the RS4 is only temporary. Still trying to find the "right" replacement. If all goes as planned, it will be a HOT summer.

I've had my fun with the car, and dont regret doing it one bit. Its been great to me, but i just have an itch to get into something else. No need to give up a nut for one. Used '06s with somewhat low mileage can be had in the 30's all day long. Im not a big Benz guy, but im not entirely sold on the E9x M3, either. The CLK63 BS is certainly smaller, which is what i'm looking for, but its still quite heavy. After seeing Evosports car, i think i can deal with it. Lower it on some HRE/NEEZ wheels, chip, tune, pulleys, etc. and we're looking at monster horsepower numbers with equal torque in a real aggressive looking car. If i can find a red one in my price range, i'll pull the trigger without hesitation. I'll always have a soft spot for E30 M3's, but i think this project is getting more and more distant by the day. To squash an S54 and tranny into the thing is going to hit for about $10k. Add that to the tons of other work that must be done, and i'm looking at an absurd amount of money for an E30. Not to mention, in the end, it'll be completely different than what everybody knows and loves E30's for.

The early ones(01-02) had valve, bearing, and oil pump problems which were all fixed under recall and in the newer cars. Who knows, I may just ditch the project all together. The CLK63 Black Series is looking pretty tempting right about now.

As far as mine goes, work hasn't even started. I didn't even take a single picture of it, as its quite rough around most edges :P . Its just sitting in the corner of the shop. As soon as I figure what motor to go with, things will start moving quickly. Its between either a Euro S52 or an S54. Leaning towards the S54 as I still have parts for it from my old M3. Just need to find a source for a clean full motor. Not to mention 333hp sounds alot better than 240. If you want to look at some builds, check out S14 Lots of good stuff to browse through.

Going to "downgrade" for the summer while my project E30 M3 is being built. Thinking about a Volkswagen R32 or a Mini GP.

Reading stats from publishers is one thing, real world racing is another. Like i said before, a STOCK Z06 will walk on a GT-R. The only thing a GT-R might have on the Z is the sprint to 60. After that, the Z will not look back all the way up to 190+ ...And if you still continue to believe a stock production GT-R ran the 'ring in a 7:29, you have absolutely NO credibility.

480 is not going to push a car of the GT-R's weight to the kinds of numbers it makes, no way..no how. Although Nissan did lie about those, too, but thats a whole 'nother story. A Z06 will still walk on a GT-R, and the ZR1 would absolutely eat one apart.

Get the AWE/GIAC ECU flash, and you'll really be cooking. +30-40hp and 60lb/ft for about $500.

ESS did an incredible job tuning it. I have the optional redline raise (to 8500) just to give a little extra pull. Its just about perfect. I'll post a few vids if everyone wants to see/hear it in action. I LOVE that car. Sure isnt the cars fault it hasnt sold.

I thought you wanted a 993? The only have 2 pics of Porsches from the run are these. There were a couple 997 Turbos out aswell.

It was a Hefner twin turbo'd 1000+ hp Ford GT and 2 Superformance Cobras ahead of me. Couple sick 911's were well ahead of them. Those Turbo boys are nuts. The GT was actually behind me in the front-on picture already posted. I just cropped it out. No track, just beautiful :P NY highway. Thats why i love it so much. The fog just makes it look even cooler. It was just a normal meet of local LI/NYC guys. The cop wasnt shutting down the road, just pulling over an F430. I have Umnitza's on the car.

Thanks. Its taken alot of resources to get to its current stage, and im glad people like it as much as I do. It goes pretty well too. Walked on every other M5/M6 i've encountered. :)

Its a tribute to a great family friend who passed away.

My parents haven't supported me since i moved out a few months ago, nor did they pay for any of my cars. Everything is under my name and completely paid for. You can keep guessing about my life, though.
