  1. I got the 85 and love it. Great choice, thanks.
  2. Sorry to go off topic but is it possible to use those screws for non graf skates and holders? I don’t have a lhs near me so doing an inline conversion is difficult. Just wondering for future reference
  3. I recently purchased 3x pros with a marsblade R1 chassis conversion from hockeymonkey and after reading this I kinda wish I got hyperlites but it’s too late now.
  4. Thanks for the input I’m gonna go for the 85
  5. I posted this on the hockeyplayers subreddit but I thought I’d post it here to get your guys/gals opinions as well. I’m an ice hockey player that is starting to play roller hockey. I play on a concrete surface and have been using a wraparound on my ice hockey stick but after 3 practices I just can’t get used to the feeling of the wraparound on the blade so I want to buy a dedicated roller hockey 2-piece stick with an abs blade. I’m looking at the true catalyst 9 shaft but I’m not sure if I should get a 75 or 85 flex. Right now my current ice stick is a 77 flex and personally I wish it was an 80-82 flex. I normally don’t need to cut my sticks. The 65”-66” standard height is perfect for me. So my question is do I drop down and get the 75 flex and risk having a too whippy stick or do I go up to an 85 flex and risk having a too stiff stick? Any thoughts and comments are appreciated. Thanks.
  6. I was listening to a podcast and they referenced this tweet by an agent talking about a skate shortage. I haven’t heard about this but I’m not in the equipment supply chain loop. Has anyone else heard about this and is it true? Seems pretty crazy if professional players or equipment managers are shopping around at retail stores for their skates.
  7. Thanks, will do. I’ll see how my next skate goes.
  8. I will give the no socks a shot see how I like it. I’m not close to a pro shop sadly but I’ll figure out a way. I’ve seen @Vet88 process on punching at home and if push comes to shove I’ll do that.
  9. I guess I’m not too picky but I recently picked up Nike running dri-fit pants and shirt base layer at a Nike factory outlet for $30 cad total. Played 2 games in them and it did the job. Before that I had under armour pants and long sleeves with the grips and I wasn’t much of a fan of the grips on the elbow area as I like to slide my elbow pads on. But I’m happy with the Nike dri-fit stuff.
  10. What about the width? I recently got pro stock 2x pros, the length and heel lock is amazing but the width felt narrow. I went for a skate and tried to power through the pain but after the second period I had to take the skates off for 5 mins. I rebaked with some paper towels taped to my feet on the hotspot areas and I’m going to go sockless next game. Will the boot eventually conform to my feet on the sides if I keep skating in them?
  11. I recently picked up pro stock 2x pros 9.5D A heel with traditional eyelets and love the length and heel lock but the width and instep are too narrow and low for my foot. Major hotspots on the outside of both feet and near the big toe and a pinch on the top of the foot. Would 9.5 fit 2 hyperlites be a better fit? Also, are the lengths between CCM and Bauer skates similar? 9.5 Bauer = 9.5 CCM?
  12. Hi there, I’m in the market for new sticks and I noticed that there are two different offerings for the CCM Jetspeed Team stick, HSFTM4 and HSMTJS. The HSFTM4 is sold on the CCM webstore as a retail stick with a p88 curve option while the HSMTJS needs to be purchased through a CCM rep with presumably a minimum order quantity and a p80 curve option. One has a hybrid kick point and the other has a low kick point. But besides the differences mentioned is there a difference in quality? I’m actually looking at the FT3 options but just for example purposes I used the current FT4 product ID’s.
