He was trying to dangle, that wasn't a strength move. A nice shift, for sure, but when going 1 on 3, not really the smartest play. I forget who the other defenseman was on the play but he should have recognized the situation and came across. Honestly, David could very easily have gotten himself knocked into next week with that move. He definitely doesn't look out of place. I wonder how long until Hinote isn't filling his spot in the last 2 minutes of a 1 goal game. Maybe strong on his skates is a better way to describe it. Great balance.

That was game #9...so the decision has to be made before he plays again, right?

David is not THAT big a guy...but Damn...is he strong on the puck. Just saw that drive to the net he put on CBJ late in the game tonight...no goal, but a good move.

I haven't really looked carefully at what everyone else did tonight...but I think those 2 points move David into Top 10 Rookie scoring.

Don't get Vs here...but NHL Network is doing On The Fly...where they show segments of all the games going on that night. Hopefully I can catch some of the 3rd.

rhino...I don't know if it the different material that liner is made out of...but the sweat in my eyes is crazy with the Vector...(my ONLY complaint about it). That sweat strip is a good idea.

On HNIC 1st intermission during the Habs/Sens game, they were talking about the tendency in the NHL right now to work off the "half wall" on the PP. They showed 4 examples of the play: 2 of Kovalev David Legwand and David's goal last night. Pretty good company for David.

Suits and a new winter jacket are cool and all, not gonna fault him there...but when's he gonna pick up the new ride (like all good rookies with their first pay cheques). Lexus SUV's (silver or black...obv!) seem to be pretty popular with the NHL types aren't they? There was a list of what the Habs were all driving done a couple years, LOTS of SUV's and big (Dakotas & F350's) trucks, if I recall correctly.

I was standing in an Irish pub on Crescent St in MOntreal after the Habs/Leafs watching the late game when the scoreboard came on and I saw David's name (still haven't seen the goal). Congrats.

Using David in the same role as Johnson won't really work will it? David needs 1st or second line minutes with other skill players. I don't think that is what Johnson was getting. Mind you, I didn't see any of his games in St. Lou...but I know how Montreal used him last year.

Damn...scratched again tonight. I'm hoping between TSN/RDS and NHL Network I get to see him play a few times this season.

During Leafs Broadcasts (or maybe all Sportsnet broadcasts...I'm not sure) there is a feature at the intermission called Home Town Heroes (sponsored by Home Hardware). David was the featured player tonight...although I was at a bar and the sound wasn't on. There were shots from Lewiston, Team Canada, I think a "Q" ASG, and St. Louis.
