  1. I seem to recall checking these out at MonkeySports in Irvine a month or so ago- definitely seemed to check that box for fitting a narrow foot. I'm a Fit 2 in Bauers and it wouldn't have been an ideal fit for me if that's helpful context.
  2. If memory serves me correctly, that's a straight frame skate with all the same size wheels (or at least an old school 72mm- 80mm Hi-Lo)? If you're doing league play, I'd highly recommend searching around for some newer skates (check out Sideline Swap and Play It Again) since you run the risk of various parts of the skate failing while playing. Last thing you want is an injury due to your chassis tearing away from the outsole, toe cap separating from the boot, tongue breaking off, etc. I'd still roll around on them if you're playing some street hockey with buddies occasionally, but that's about all they're good for at this stage of their life IMO.
  3. Hi all! Got back into roller after stepping away from the game for the last 10 years or so (I just checked my last post way back in January 2014...time flies 😅). Moved to SoCal where the roller hockey scene is still thriving with NARCh, TORHS, and Legends draft tournaments are still regularly booking rinks between Irvine, Corona, and Escondido. After watching roller hockey slowly die where I grew up in North Carolina, it was a breath of fresh air to see people committed to roller hockey's growth and viability in Southern California. In an effort to continue fostering interest in roller hockey and take a trip down memory lane on some of the gear that defined roller hockey's golden era, I just started a new channel called "Retro Roller". We'll be taking a look at throwback gear from the 90's and early 00's and interviewing key people in the industry today that either pioneered their design or used them during their heyday. As a sneak peek- our first product we're diving into are the old V-Form skates and we're chatting with Peter Dale on when he used those skates back in the Pro Beach Hockey days. Please give us a follow on Instagram and we'd love pictures of your throwback gear you'd like us to highlight in our stories! Glad MSH is still around after all these years and look forward to engaging with the community again. Cheers!
  4. Those are sickkk, what kind of wheels are those? Look like Hyper Saturns or Wicked Stickies...
  5. This is my new Amp Flyweight/Red Mag setup I've finally gotten around to making. Crap wheels and bearings in 'em...but beautiful otherwise. Btw, glad that ModSquad is back up and running B) http://img520.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dscn2147fo6.jpg
  6. Flyweight/red Mag setup is at the shop...should have pics up by Monday.
  7. Unless you really know what you're doing (and you have all of the specific tools for riveting a chassis), I'd avoid the "do it yourself" route. If you're a first-timer mounting a frame to a boot, then there's a pretty good chance that you'll mis-align your skate and screw your boot up in the process. Just take the setup to your LHS and have them do the whole thing for you.
  8. Wow, both of those skates have been my dream setup for a while... those are pretty sick. If you're looking to get rid of either pair... ;)
  9. The week I was gonna do it, I got the stomach bug. After that, I was just too busy to drop them off by the shop. I'll have 'em done by the end of this week if I get the time.
  10. you gonna skate in your kor's for this week's game, chris? i can't wait to see the setup man.
  11. I don't know if this has been added, but Zebrahead is pretty good. They have sort of a Linkin Park sound in a few of their songs. Another band that's been around a while, but not a whole lot of people know about are the Dropkick Murphys; those guys are absolutely beastly.
  12. whoa, fatwabbit. those are some hot skates. are the boots on those 1200c's? man, drop dead gorgeous setup.
  13. Very nice setup. I absolutely love skating on converted vapors. I got a pair of X's on a Mission Magnesium; they fit like slippers. Love your setup.
  14. Sweet setup, very nice. Are those the new Labeda Fuzions with the 688 core?

  16. My Mission Amp 3's on a carbon-fiber TUUK. http://server7.pictiger.com/img/59254/pict...im-000018--.jpg I'd also would've liked to have posted my Mission Proto VSI's, but I sold them... They were probably the best looking customs I made. They had a Red-Star Silver Series Chassis (7000 series extruded aluminum) with clear blue Labeda Gripper Lites...drop dead gorgeous.
  17. Thanks for the compliments on the skates. Yeah, it wasn't my first choice to have the X's mounted, but I had them lying around and I wanted to do something with my magnesium frame. I used them last night for the first time and I liked the feel of them.
  18. My Vapors mounted on a mission hi-lo magnesium. http://server6.pictiger.com/img/49682/pict...ng/vapor-x-.php
