Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion

I done them myself using the tools at my LHS where I used to work. The skates are pro stock made for Colin Shields of the Belfast Giants in the British Elite League. He gets his CCM / Reebok skates custom ordered to the same spec each season but im not sure where or who. I presume its direct from the factory. I think they are Reebok however im not 100% sure to be honest. I dont like waxed laces and I picked them up as they were the only ones in the shop that were not covered in wax. -

Just converted theses during the week Custom Reebok 11Ks with double thick tongues and extra stiffeners. Aluminium Vanguard chassis and green Rink Rat Hornets. -

Got these as a Christmas present. I was thinking of getting custom Franchises and seen these. They are not customised specificly for me but custom colours from Hockey Monkey and they are almost exactly the same as what I wanted to get anyway.

It was straight forward enough, just need to be careful when removing the tongues from the skates. I dont know exactly how its done in a pro shop but I used a little contact glue and just a few stitches to hold the tongue in place. Its far from perfect but it does the job and im not exactly an accomplished sewer.

Im not so worried about the look as I wear my tongues under my pads. The flop would be nice but I dont really like the feel of it and im not flashy enough to pull it off lol. The plastic inserts that stop lace bite on the original tongues broke and were starting to hurt so the Graf tongues were easier and cheaper than getting after market ones sent to the UK.

They were intended for Shawn Sutter (Belfast Giants) it was marked on the sticker on the butt end, 100 Flex Drury although the graphics on the stick arnt the typical retail ones.
