  1. It was just a question; obviously, if it matters to those teams and they're dealing with you, shouldn't it matter to others in the hockey business community?
  2. That’s assuming they feel that way, which they don’t. They’re one of the most stand-up guys in this business.
  3. True services the CHL. Curious as to why teams are dealing with a store?
  4. We haven't given members options to upload in 10 years. They're using Imgur or other photo upload services.
  5. Side note as I hold my white flag up... You mention photos on MSH. We're considering opening up the option to have access to uploading directly on MSH. It would be something you'd have to pay for, ad we would have to pay for additional resources to handle the load. Do you guys think it's a feature you'd like us to implement?
  6. Blackstone could've gone the automated route. They chose not to.
  7. We think we've worked out all of the details on how to go forward, so if you're interested, please email us at proshop@modsquadhockey.com. As of right now we're looking at a 24-hour turnaround from when we get the steel.
  8. Same proficiency. Has a wheel calibration tool, individual hollow wheels and a start button. Can't say I have experience with a Channel Z on a goalie...I guess when you think about it, it can work.
  9. Restructured the section by radius type. So, instead of making one massive post, you will break down your posts by profile type and your username. So, for example: Quad 1 - JR Boucicaut would be the title of the thread that you create. Any additional comments relating to that profile will go into that thread. Typically with reviews, we only allow the user to post, and not allow responses from others. We will allow responses from others and give the testers the opportunity to answer them.
  10. Back on topic, which is the Marsblade holder.
  11. First off, thanks for being patient. We are really close to opening the doors on this. I've had some questions on how we are going to format the reviews. We will be using Prosharp's methodology; what they do is have the skater rate each profile using their 1-5 rating, as posted below: The goal here is to get a balance between the 4 categories. You will fill the slots as you test the profile. So for instance, there's probably no way for you to get a 5 on mobility and a 5 on stability, but certainly you can get a healthy average between the two on the right profile. Profile 1 will be your control set. You will rate that first. If you know the profile, write it in. If the skates haven't been profiled, just write the model and put "stock" next to it. The tester will have their own topic, which they will start. You'll describe what you feel on each profile and then rate the 4 categories as you go along. I recommend doing it as soon as you get a good feel on them, and just making a post every time. Hopefully towards the end we will be able to determine how you got to your preferred profile. I do realize that there are times that people want a certain category over others. As in, you may feel that you may need more stability, so your focus is on that. Try not to think that way. Rate each profile on its own merit. You may find out that a healthy mix may be better than bleeding-edge.
  12. Similar is probably the better word. It's generally the same pattern. On some sizes it gets tricky and you may have to expand a hole or so.
  13. I believe some units caught on fire due to the sparks caused by cross grinding.
  14. Singles and doubles wouldn't be a problem. I can ask about triples or quads, but typically the recommended steel size starts at 246mm.
  15. If you have any questions regarding the program, ask it in here. We are currently waiting for the other profile templates to be delivered to us, so please be patient. Also, we foresee a ton of interest in the program. We won't be accepting everyone at once; it will most likely be in waves.

    MSH Merchandise

MSH has created a SquadLocker store in which we can offer merchandise. It's good stuff and makes it easier on us to not have to hold stock on these items, as they directly ship to the person who orders it. The link is here: https://teamlocker.squadlocker.com/#/lockers/modsquadhockey If there is a particular item that you are interested in and is not listed, let us know and we can certainly add it. 100% of the money raised goes to site maintenance and upkeep, so we totally appreciate it when you buy something. Thanks for supporting MSH!
  17. No. CAGs don't profile the entire set of steel.
  18. I've seen their math; also, 500 is the lower number they claim. Was told you can go further, to about 750 before loss of performance (the wheel isn't coded) sets in. Their claim is that you should be refreshing your edges every time you skate, so if there's no trauma, one pass will do. 3 would be considered the extreme end of the cycle. Using the math above, if you go 3 passes x 2 skates x 500 pair, that equates to 3000 passes. 500 pair at $99 equates to $.19.
  19. It was beyond Kickstarter at this point. Per was showing it to pro equipment managers over the summer.
