Not in hockey retail anymore, so not going to pursue it. No need for me to invest in something like that.
-
Those are MIAs right?
-
LS2.1 is NOT the same as LS2P. LS2.1 is the longer blade made to fit in a standard LS2 holder. LS2P only fits in the LSPower holder (the lexan one)

I believe Midwest Skate is the one in the US, would it be easier for him to get something through US or Canada?
-
Too bad it's actually a Quebec plate.

Just a reminder that you guys can do this in your profile now...

Ha, come on...you know what he's saying.

In a lot of these cases, that's exactly what is happening. I figured out a way to do a truly custom skate without me being present, but as I don't want to work in hockey retail anymore, I'll probably never act up on it. I could feed the orders through a friendly shop, but would have to figure out how to make it worth my while.

What's custom with your skate?

Would love one of those.

They're retail in Sweden. It is the RBK 5k. http://www.jofa.se/jofa/catalog/view_prod....p;cat3=&s=0

Jofa 690 continued in Europe as a RBK bucket.

Not the same shin pad. The one on CL had a hinged ankle guard and was wider.

Nice, wonder what he wants for the SG650s. I had those. Back in 93.
-
On second thought, it seemed like all the prospects at the Development camp were wearing RBKs... Yep, because they will want them to match team-color wise.

Spoke to the Product Manager today and voiced my concerns about the ventilation/sweat issues - he said that I had gotten an early edition of the helmet, and that the later revisions were tweaked to deal with this problem. I should be getting a newer one in a month and will see if the sweat issues are improved.

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
JR Boucicaut replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
Back in the day when guys wore ankle guards, the tendon guard eyelets were so that they can lace them through that. Some Grafs still have them.- 2854 replies

The "Original" 652 Tack was a re-issue - 2001. They did it for a year and were "limited edition."

For the past few months I've been using an Easton Stealth S9 Pro. The only difference between the Pro and the retail S9 is that it doesn't have side or rear logos. Fit - Tight squeeze - I'm a 7 1/4 hat size and this helmet (Large) had to be shoehorned onto my head. As it broke in it fit better. Protection - Dual-density VN, other than that, sorry, not a crash-test dummy. N/A Weight - Light - slightly lighter than a 4500 as it has less to the helmet. 9/10 Durability - Everything has been fine except for the chinstrap - broke it in my second game - attribute it to the chinstrap being soaked. Other than that, no problems to speak of with the helmet. 9/10 Intangibles - It simply doesn't handle sweat well - it's been years since I've used a strictly VN helmet, but I can't recall any of them handling moisture as bad as this one does. I cut out the front ports (where the honeycomb padding is - notice Zetterberg's helmet has been modified the same way) and I STILL can't feel an ounce of ventilation, and I shave my head. With the Intake, I could feel my head getting cold - not so much with this helmet. The result of this is buckets of sweat in my eyes - and my visor. I think the only solution is to wear a SkullCap. 2/10 Conclusion - I love the look, and it's got some really cool features (ability to flip up the ear loops, user-friendly screw system in the temples, single-screw adjustment system) but the only drawback for me is how it handles moisture. Other than that, it's priced right and should do well in the market. 8/10 Thanks goes out to those at Easton who made it possible for me to test the product early.

Yeah it's too small for that boot.
