can you compare to ice hockey sticks (easton, bauer, etc)? the bar for inline specific company hockey sticks hasn't been set very high.

Custom Skates / Ice to Inline Conversion
wetwilly17 replied to cougarscaptain87's topic in Roller Hockey Equipment
I wear 8 in Bauer and had A7s. They are great but I thought the wheelbase was just slightly long for size 8. I think with size 8.5 you'd be better off with a7 though. Plus you have the option of using all 80s. How much do you weigh? You might ask Keith if you need a7 based on your weight.- 2845 replies

there are reviews on here reporting that alkali pants run small and to size up one compared to what you would normally wear with other brands. so you may need xxl, which would be a longer pant i believe. i think i remember justin saying to size up too, but i could be wrong.

who said anything about a grudge? point is, their review section is ridiculous to all but the naive. i have seen plenty of bad reviews on other sites that i am sure are doing just fine financially.
-
thats for the ops. they don't have that for the shaft
-
yeah i saw that review out of all the different product, that was the worst review and not a bad review either because of the positive things you said. i don't think they'll allow any less of a review to go through.

it seems hockeytron will only post the equipment comments that make them look good. look at all the 5 star ratings and no negative ratings. i tried posting a question a week ago about their new 405 shaft that is advertised as " The LIGHTEST SHAFT in the marketplace today." My question was something along the lines of "if it is the lightest shaft, please post the weight of it". i gave them my email address in the comment form also. the post never made it to website, no comment and no email. this company has some great qty over quality stuff but seems like customer service is a joke.

is jarvis the same as p88? they list it at a 6 lie which makes me wonder if its a little bit higher lie than p88. is jarvis rocked like p88 also?

Kovie, can you post pics of how you mounted - I'm particularly interested in where the rivets are located. Also, what size grafs and what size frame did you use? did the g35s have the texalite outsole? why did you retire them? the reason i'm asking is because i've always wanted to do some 703's but have heard the texalite outsole is not good for inline conversion.- 2845 replies

Does Alkali have any future plans on making shin guards or elbow pads? I know many people would love inline specific protection gear. Ice gear is just too hot. I would love some highly ventilated shin pads, gloves and elbow pads. Not just moisture wicking materials but lots of ventilation holes. Inline skating is slower and inline pucks weigh less and carry less momentum, therefore we don’t need as much protection. I’ve been bruised on my shins from blocking ice shots many times but never once for inline because the pucks are so light they just don’t carry the same amount of energy/momentum. I am already in love with my CA9 girdle. I wish there was other gear I could get that is inline specific. My ice gear is just too hot and unnecessary for inline.

Justin, can you comment on which of your pant models is the most breathable? I don't care about durability, I just want the coolest pant on the market. Thanks

used my new Alkali CA9 jock/girdle last night and loved it. its sort of a cross between girdle and jock - very lightweight and much cooler than traditional girdle. i don't play as aggressively as i used to so i don't need that much protection. i wish the hip pad was oriented a little differently (maybe my hip joint is located weird compared to my waistline) but overall i am very happy because i needed a cooler alternative to the traditional girdle but with some hip protection. Justin: i saw the CA5 pants at my local store today and was really impressed by their breathability. They don't carry the CA3, CA7 or CA9 though. What is your most breathable/coolest pants?

based on what i'm reading, it sounds like the heat molding will help a lot with adjusting to the volume of the foot, but not so much the width. is that accurate? thanks for your help.

Justin, if your skate solves width problems I'd be really happy. Im skeptical however for two reasons which is why I'm hesitant to purchase. 1) if the width can truly vary from c to ee, then why do you state the fit is for a wide forefoot? 2) how can the width get smaller since the outsole is rigid and wont change during heat molding? Which models will accommodate any width from c to ee? Thanks for your support on this site. Edit: I fit a graf 703 narrow (c width) almost perfectly except I could use slightly more heel width and volume. This has been the best retail fit I have found. Would your skate accommodate my feet based on that description?

It would take a lot of work and skill as a fabricator. But we're not talking rocket science. It is definitely possible...but not worth the effort IMO.
