lol - wrist shot by gonchar = goal
its just that easy - why dont the other defensemen understand that?

yeah, that's the other problem they have - most of the team is lefties - letang is the only right handed defenseman and the rare times that he actually shoots he always misses high or wide. unlike gonchar who always get his shots through even when he has to settle for a wrist shot (which is suprisingly effective for him).
i shake my head when i see teams like the anaheim, edmonton, and dallas 10, 11, 12 in the league and the penguins at the bottom with all the talent they have. i noticed when teams have a powerplay against the penguins - for the most part they just have their defenseman blast it at the net and keep it relatively simple, taking whatever the team gives them. The penguins always seem to be forcing passes and trying low percentage plays.
I actually agree - if you put gonchar letang kunitz guerin and staal out there i bet they would average closer to 20%

all of the announcers keep saying that they think having malkin & crosby out there at the same time is part of what is causing the problems because their natural position on the pp is the same place. I agree to some extent - but i also think they are trying to be too fancy and get empty net tip-ins like they used to do back in the 90's when they were loaded. It annoys me that gonchar can just wrist it on net and pick his spots - but none of the other defenseman are even willing to shoot.

side note, Ryan Malone is killing it down in Tampa...now I'm wishing we coulda fit him in somehow. :(agreed - but the pens can't afford him - i think pretty much everyone i have seen is happy for him even though we wish we still had him
another question - what is everyone's opinion of the penguins pp? i think they are currently 29th in the league. i have a lot of opinions about it - i just wish they would actually try something different cause it isn't working.

if a veteran like janssen doesn't know what is going on then that says alot - hopefully the new strategies will prove to be what they were missing and a more aggressive style will suit them well

im happy for them but i dont understand how they get shutout by new jersey and then put up 8 the next night with seemingly little effort. did they just have a crappy game against nj or did they not try?

i think my favorite thing i have heard about the new arena is that the new igloo club will have glass that you can see the players walk out on to the ice by - kinda like edmonton.

price let in another crappy goal off the glove tonight - its the same as before - a high shot that wasnt even on net, but he decided to try to glove it and it ended up going off the glove and in the net...
i always hear the announcers saying his glove is suspect - and now im starting to believe them

i think they were going to call it - up until boucher acted like he got shot - if a ref catches you doing that then you aren't going to get any calls.

my observations were:
1. None of the talented players on the flyers crashed the net - i mean carcillo almost had two goals doing exactly that
2. None of the players have any confidence right now and you could tell - but i suppose thats to be expected when you have lost that many games lately.
3. hartnell = avery - he has talent and can often put up points, but for some reason always chooses to take bad penalties and do other stupid stuff instead.

i dont even know if a class action lawsuit is even possible - but it does sound like the online game is pretty broken right now..

There was another hack that just shot a javelin whenever you died, maybe that was it.yeah that was the one i was talking about - that was the main reason they recently put out the patch for mw2 - but apparently it created some other bugs now

so they fixed the javelin glitch but made a few other new ones? sigh....
i did have something happen yesterday which seemed strange - i caught a guy off guard and killed him quickly but then i died from a grenade he apparently dropped - i dont see how he could have switched from his gun and did that so quick, i mean he didnt even know i was there.. maybe luck but i suspected some kind of hack
