  1. the players are wearing either M1s or L7s. that catalogue was put together back in November before we had the 130 out to the Pros yet. if you look around the league you will see bigger crimes.... IE: Thorntons gloves! FUNNY!
  2. Sorry for the delayed reply, but I finally got some solid information to work with. Apparently the problem is that I have a 4" long ankle fracture and a chipped peice of bone that is just kinda floating around down there. The injury apparently happened back in January and I made it worse by continuing to skate on it which caused the area to develop bursitis (which accounts for the pain and swelling when pressure is placed on the area). So the Eastons did not cause the injury (must have been a slash or deflected puck). As for warranty, I purchased them via eBay over ago and since I don't think they caused the injury to worsen I will probably just look for some new skates and sell the Eastons. Unfortunately I am not allowed to skate for 4-6 months and have to do physical therapy and have an MRI to determine if surgery is necessary. Once I heal I will definitely check out the AGX though; thanks for the help! re-habbing an injury is critical. it is also very important not to rush it and try to come back and play too early. there is nothing worse than aggravating an injury. stay in shape and train the best way you can without aggravating your ankle. that way coming back will not be such an uphill battle. i have said this many times before... i am in no way a DR. so make sure you listen to your DR. and follow his ( or her.... hopefully she is hot and not Nurse Ratchet ) advice. things are warming up.... time to improve that golf game ( which i STINK at! LoL ). BTW.. i am glad you took the time to figure out what the problem really is. too often people blame their gear when that might not really be the case.
  3. It appears that the ankle padding has broken down to the point where you can easily feel the composite shell through what is left of the padding. What is strange about it is that it did not break down progressively, it was literally great one day and gone the next. Unfortunately by skating in them despite the lack of padding I had developed some sort of injury to the interior ankle bone (the medial maleolus I am told). I am seeing a Doctor who specializes in sports medicine on Monday to see whether or not it will require surgery. I guess what I am looking for in terms of new skates is something that will provide slightly more cushion to the ankle area and has a moderately wide mid-foot area. Thanks for your help! how long have you had the Eastons? will they do anything? Warranty issue etc???
  4. mmmmmm Indy Foam! the new skates do not use an Indy Foam like the older models did. is your current skate cutting into your inner ankle? i am just trying to understand why this is happening rather than just suggest a new skate. the asymmetrical ankle cuff on the AG is well liked for the reason that it fits your ankles better ( not everyone, but GENERALLY ). I def. thought of this response this morning when I pulled my 90AG's off after 2 hours of stick time, and my heel had pins & needles for 15 minutes. Can't wait! haha at least you got to play! :(
  5. Zac, quick question on the AGX... will they run the same size as the other Fuel skates? I'm in a 90AG size 8 right now, and it's perfect. ANT-- same size... slightly wider heel. the 8 should be fine.
  6. the AGX is a wider last compared to the rest of the line. we will also have an EE. remember that EE skates are wider in the heel/ankles..... NOT THE TOE BOX/FRONT QUARTERS. that said- where did you have the S400 punched? i am assuming outer front quarters?
  7. that is all i am saying.... just try them on. i love that we used a FELT TONGUE on this skate. so many times mfgs try to re-invent the skate tongue and yet nothing works as good as a felt tongue. it has a Pro Nylex liner that is very comfortable and i found it to be better than Clarino liners. too bad public perception is that Clarino liners are better-- i wish my 120AG skates had Pro Nylex. :D
  8. dont over associate quality with price- this boot was overbuilt for the money.
  9. because i know he is reading this- i expect the 75 to be expanded to other lines! DO IT! DO IT NOW! DOOOO IT! lol
  10. i have several in my garage. i have a killer Orion XTR600.4... it just needs a trip to the shop. i can send it to you if you want. probably $100 to fix it. it will really sing, but as with all Orion A/B amps.... it's power hungry. you need a good battery and a solid alt. i also have an Audison SRX3 in good working condition. the connections are a bit tricky but the sound quality outstanding. 2x75+250x1 at 4 ohms 13.8V. i have a garage full of Mission Samples and old car audio projects...lol!
  11. dealers that have booked already should be seeing them in about 2 weeks. this is what i know as of right now. i was going to get a pair, but i have played about 4 times in the last 4 months and my 120AGs are mint. i need a new component set in the doors of my ride more than skates right now. i did 55K last year so i need to be entertained. louder is better when you are trying to stay awake on the road as well! anyone got a hook up of Rainbow Audio?
  12. Don't worry I beat up on them too. It's my job to keep everyone honest and on their toes. ;) BTW, I never liked the flyweight, the T-Flex worked much better for me. the shaft or low connection? in previous threads i mentioned how i would take the dremel to std blades for my 1100s-- money! you being a bigger guy flex was probably not an issue with TFlex Shafts, but being part of the crowd that cuts about 3 inches of their shafts it pretty much loses all load/flex characteristics. even still i never like the high connection point of the TFlex, but then again some guys like the higher kick point. didnt Hespeler have Inno Made shafts that were Mid Kick and Low Kick? " Arguing with a Parts Guys is like wrestling a Pig in mud......after a while you realize the Pig enjoys it "
  13. REALLLLLLY? Hehe...better to be innovative than inno design-getting off track tho. i could not resist.... sorry man!
  14. c'mon Chadd.... we have had this conversation.....buy you a soda after the game?????? Justin is a great product designer...maybe too good. most of his ideas are very forward thinking. i am cool with that..... i trend the same way, but the GENERAL market is not so fast to adapt new ideas and new thinking. look at FOR EXAMPLE the Flyweight Shaft and Low Taper Wood and Composite Blades-- i thought it was brilliant, but everybody had a hard on for what they thought was a TRUE ONE PIECE stick ( synergy ). here i am telling people, " no dude.... its two pieces.. blade and shaft with bondo and paint..... what makes is special is the low connection.... try the mission and get the benefits of low connection and a wood blade ". we have some great product past and present just like other manufacturers-- the question i ask is why do the big names get away with failures? i have seen the future and it looks great! CLOSE YOUR EYES AND OPEN YOUR MIND!
  15. there is no more Ribeiro. i liked the pattern, but it just does not move as well as other Heel Curves and it is very similar to a Lidstrom ( McAuley now Hainsey ). it does not make sense to have two heel curves in your line up with square toes. Drury ( Sundin for us ) is from what i have seen the most popular Heel Curve ( #1 Selling Pro Pattern and my PP ). i have spent some time with our new Fuel Ti 75 flex and i can say that i am loving this new stick. Sargy really stepped up the game and the addition of Roman has been solid. we have some great designers in Montreal and Mission is really coming on as a company. stay tuned guys!
  16. it is scheduled to ship mid February, but things always change. solid skate for the money ( approx $270 ). it is my next skate for sure- i have been asking for a Pro Nylex liner, Felt Tongue and a slightly wider heel. should be a winner at this price! boot is stiffer- a nice hybrid of the XP and AG. shafts are no longer- we are focusing on the Spearshaft Technology which is has received excellent reviews.
