It's really an Aesthetics vs Fit / Performance issue. You really have to decide what is more important. Not everybody fits a generic stock boot. This coupled with some of the bone spur issues we are seeing from others- If you don't get it... Eventually you will :)

You can get Step Steel Black for the TRUE Holder
-
They are at Hockey Monkey and Ultimate Skates at TSC. Coming soon to Pure / Giant.
-
More than happy to assist as I have been helping set up my West Coast Dealers.

Yes. This. I just got my samples in for the fit centers and finally got to give them a good look over.

In all honesty I have been watching much of this unfold as you guys have. Scott and his team are doing a great job up there in Winnipeg and now it's essentially just branded TRUE as they did acquire VH Footwear. The key here and the main difference in what we have seen in other acquisitions by other companies in this industry over the last 10 years- Is that TRUE understands that the people behind the brand make a difference. Not the other way around. I signed on to work for these people because, of the leadership and the value they placed on the people they entrust their brand to. I understand that I just took a whole big detour and for that I apologize, but I wanted to make sure that was clear as some of the early comments I read about the acquisition were without merit. I can't speak a whole lot about the holder yet as us retail reps are just now being integrated into the process. I do recall riding with Gilles about a year and half ago and he said he had been working on a holder due to the pull for his product and a shrinking ecosystem in which Step could thrive. It would appear that the holder is a product of VH and Steps' collaboration as it was cobranded at one point, but I can't say for sure as I don't have the whole backstory. As I sit here I am waiting for a shipment of iPads for my dealers Fit Centers and am very anxious to get going. Once I have an opportunity to visit the new facility that the team is in I can perhaps speak to the holder and the boot more in depth. I will be more than happy to share as I know more, but for now- What an exciting time to be in this industry.

One could argue that the worst holder is one you can't get steel for. But that's none of my business. Give the holders a shot guys... The steel upgrade alone is worth it. Gilles and his team over at Step are a great bunch of guys who are extremley passionate about steel. I know many that are pretty excited that Step will come standard on the TRUE jets.

This is interesting.

They have their niche markets. They have a strong following in Northern Ca.

Growth Incentive Sales Programs.
-
My old sales mgr from Mission Itech left around that time ( Super Good Guy ). Some of my accounts had said they did not like the new sales mgr at all. From all this there will be regrowth; however, I believe the industry in general is headed for a pretty significant correction before all that can happen.

THIS. There is a human side to everything that is going on in our industry. It's a terrible situation for all these families.

Vapor has the narrower heel between the two-- EXCEPT that the Supreme you have came from a family that was the first generation of 3D lasted skates they started to produce. In the first execution the volume / width was not as robust as later executions. That said unless you can add some minicell foam to the heel cup I am unsure that you can " pinch " the heel tighter on the 1X. Have you tried a thicker sock? Not like wooolies thick, but something that may take up a little more internal volume?

There are some wonderful people that put in tireless hours behind that catalog. There are some really nice products in there. -
Catalogue Review 2016 True Hockey Catalogue
Zac911 replied to JR Boucicaut's topic in 2016 Product Catalogue Reviews
Not sure if it was mentioned previously, but wanted to point out that True offers a 30 warranty on the blades as well. -
No such thing as bad publicity. Take a negative and turn it into a positive. What I would call into question is how is the $ amount figured? Off of retail cost? If so it costs a fraction of that $475k to look like good guys. :) In any case free product to get more kids playing hockey is good for hockey. Period.

gotta remember some peoples street shoes are not very accurate ... skate shoes especially. for all the years i coached i had to fight with the kids to get the right size skates. i used to chuckle when i would see a kid wear the same skates for three seasons and just when they were the right size the kid would complain that they hurt- well yeah... they are finally the right size-- they just need to be baked and broken in. jebus! dont underestimate the VALUE of having a pro shop fit you properly. you dont save money when you have to buy the skate twice or spend money on shipping back and forth several times.

i in fact noticed this as well. my samples i got back in Nov were slightly different. the Boyes is definitely a little flatter than Forsberg/Modano. the lie thought is 5. good eye! good to hear that worked out good for you! i was concerned that you wanted to go EE. just so anyone reading this is not sure-- EE is wider in the ankle.... NOT THE BALL. guys with stocky ankles should get an EE. with the seams we have in this boot it will shape to your foot extremely fast.

YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!! YOUUUUUU .... ARE CORRECT SIR! YESSSSSSS! lol... Ed McMahon!
-
my apologies guys.... i believe there are some inaccuracies in the blade chart.... Sundin and Rafalski are same blade shape and lie ( 6 ) ... Sundin is Heel and Rafalski is Mid both open face. Boyes is 5 lie.

Jedi Mind Trick " those are not the gloves you are looking for! " notice he was not in the catalogue??? while we are on the subject i guess we could mention Ryan Smyth from last year as well.... is it shameful that we did it.... or shameful for the player to take the money? i have never been a fan of it, but seems like most mfgs do it. HOW ABOUT THE CAPITALS GAME TONIGHT??????? WOW! also... thanx for the offer to crash. much appreciated!
