  1. Matt, I think the answer to your question lies in the Pro Sharp profile project that JR is doing.  There are so many more profiles available that can enhance people's skating now that people are dialing in and getting optimal performance.  Of course you can always try to replicate your old 9 foot rocker but you can also step outside the box and try some new stuff.  It's really your call.  But in short, yes...  I think int time you will find that a typical 9 foot rocker is obsolete.

  2. I have both sticks.  In terms of flex point I know that are different but not in any huge way.  I am comfortable with both.  The 2.0 ha hgrewat puck feel.  Its the same blade but I I felt like the puck comes off the 2.0 blade a bit quicker.  That might be related to the flex profile... not sure. Truth is both feel nice.

If at this point I dont have credibility in this community or on Reddit, then there is nothing more I can do to change that. I try to provide insight and input when possible and everything I say or post is my own opinion. There are plenty of people on MS that I am friends with and know personally, there are others that I may not be close friends with, but I do skate with them, other individuals I have provided services to, sold equipment to, etc. I dont feel the need to justify who I am or what I know. I'm not trying to be rude, I just dont see why it matters.

Not sure I can help there other than to raise the question of why members both on the forum and on reddit have raised questions about your credibility.   Perhaps it’s because you are too outspoken and present yourself as an expert in many areas.  Perhaps it’s a style thing.  Regardless for your own sake it is worthy of some self examination.  Or, if as you say, you don’t care, then ignore me and others.  That’s fine too.

Actually there are a few shops World wide that are used to full gaps when the Pro Reps cannot make a fitting. I personally have been asked to do Detroit and Ottawa players in those city's. As well as meet players in Toronto when Jorg is out if town. Not to mention summer fittings. Probably why I sit at almost 900 fits. And the others such as @Nicholas G who have done larger amounts of fittings are asked to fill in when needed.

And that's fair but needs to be established.  It raises the question if he has, in fact, been asked to do this by True or not.

A lot of things..... Some stuff under NDA, but we do composite fabrication and engineering. Research of composite, coating, and casting systems and manufacturing as well. Also, as more of a hobby, we dabble in metallurgy too. Myself, personally, I deal with engineering. Not sure why any of this matters though.

Matters for a few reasons.  First and foremost is the establishment of credibility in this community. When one speaks to their own expertise and qualifications some support of that is a reasonable request.  You have, after all, been pretty outspoken.  Second, is the fact that you stated that you were servicing certain teams when typically they are serviced directly through True.  This bears some scrutiny and a follow up as to why the teams would use you and not the manufacturer.  In the end, the community will decide whether it believes you or not and sharing more information about your store and your expertise can only help in that regard,

Based on what I saw in store, it’s just the sweet spot for price/protection/comfort. The top of the line aren’t worth the extra cost.

I found the second tier (one level down from top) 7092 to be lighter, more flexible and more comfortable while still providing more than adequate protection.  Price was not a factor for me.  It was what I wanted.  DISCLAIMER:  I have the last model - the 6052.

  7. There are some different factors at work here and I am sure the sharpening experts can speak to that more but generally every time your steel is worked on the shape will change a bit.  The profiling shouldn't hit the ends but the profiler may have tried to blend in a bit.  Then over time the sharpening may also effect the tips.  The top pick of the toe, being more severe obviously, might make you feel a bit more pitched forward I guess.  The bottom pick shows a place you will never touch when skating.

JR, spoke with Dave M so let me know how to proceed, have 2 sets of LS2 about 2 years old also wanted to add a set of Tydan or Step through you. Not sure if you feel LS2 are too old to profile or not.

I'll take a look at your LS2 next time we play.
