Awesome isn't it! It's a shame these don't feel quite as nice as in the hand as my other Kotalik which is a true TPS R8, but we'll see what difference it makes on the ice.

Used the R8 the other night in practice - absolutely awesome! Taking me some time to get used to an OPS again so the blade feels quite 'pingy', but the balance and shot power is out of this world. Now I'm on the hunt for more! Thanks for all the information mate, very much appreciated! I'm now more excited to get it in my hands and try it out. I haven't used an OPS for a while as I reverted back to shaft/wood blade combo, so I'm hoping this can rekindle my OPS flame as I miss some of the shot power and the blade stiffness. Glad to hear the balance is on the money as it's the main reason why I keep going back to my SE16 shaft - unbeatable balance. Just adds that much more confidence.

I ended up paying more for it that I would have liked, but for a nice toe curve, with decent enough shipping to Australia I thought I'd take the plunge. The X-Stiff was a plus point for me and the only spec I'm not super happy with is that it's grip coated. Also hoping the face is not too open for me. That Perry R8 is very nice indeed. What flex is it? I just picked up a Kotalik R8, and have never used TPS before. Hoping it's a good thing!

Love the Eagles mate, not sure why but I do! As for the AS gloves, I wear mine... but if they had of been game worn then I probably would have had second throughts about it.
