  2. Stiffness - 95 flex

    Pattern – PP01 Smith Curve

    Grip finish

Reviewer has been doing Gear reviews for over 6 years and

Has a decent food belly from “Killing it at the buffet”

    First Impression

Most of the time I spray paint my sticks White, bottom half and blade, white. Getting this stick right out of the package I was very impressed with the graphics, clean black, you can see the weave, one side of it is black lettering the other side is red. It’s actually really cool! The length of the stick was perfect, no need to cut it or add one of the many 25 different sized end plugs like I have to with Bauer and Warrior, so out of the box I basically had no issue with length. All I had to do was put a Tacki mac and tape the blade, and SET!

    Blade - 10/10

I really judge a stick by is the blade stiffness. There is nothing I hate more than being able to flex the blade backwards with my hands and nothing is more frustrating than taking a shot and feeling the backflex of the blade. Or taking a faceoff and seeing the blade flex and the puck whip in the wrong direction.
The T100 blade is the stiffest blade I have ever used, but this blade is better than other “stiff” blades. One thing about it is it doesn’t lose the feel of the puck, which is amazing. You still have that pop when getting the puck and shooting. Once that pop and stiffness go away, that blade is dead to me because I can’t feel the puck. After over a month and twice up to three times a week of heavy-duty abuse, this stick refuses to die. I love it. The foam core really reduces the vibration but doesn’t kill the feel. Like I said it has that pop to it, but it doesn’t vibrate to where you feel it badly like some other brands.

Shaft/Flex/Balance - 10/10

I haven’t used many shafts that always or ever felt right on my hands. Some shaft shapes were just bad. The T100 is a more, square shaft but it’s a very soft square (similar to my beloved RM19), one that doesn’t punish my hands after a while. Another factor is the shape of the shafts will make the flex whippier or stiffer. With the more square shaft the blade becomes a bit stiffer. So a 95 flex will feel more like a 97 in a sense.

One thing people always comment is how light the stick is. Yes, its an extremely light stick, but that’s not to take away from the rest of the stick. This is a high end performing stick, don’t be fooled that just because its light that there’s no other factors to it.

The carbon weave caught my attention as far as looks to this shaft. It looked similar to the Bauer G3. Which is kinda cool but as a former user of the G3, that stick didn’t have the feel and performance I expected out of such a highly praised stick. This stick however blew away all expectations. The one thing that also caught my attention was when the person at Sher Wood told me the shaft runs through the heel of the blade so the shaft is on contact with the ice all the time. This gives you better feel for the puck and the ice since you’re always in contact. More control=better shooting and puck feel.

Another feature they offer is a “Flex Free Zone” Which allows you to cut up to 4”s worth off the stick without affecting the flex. This is great for me because I use tall sticks and I didn’t even have to cut this one, this one was the perfect length right out of the wrapping paper.

The balance of the shaft is phenomenal! Sher Wood uses what they call “Pro Balance” which provides a full balance of the stick wherever your hands may sit.

Its not blade heavy, its not top heavy, its in the middle just like a stick should be. I didn’t have to add a plug just to add a balance to it, it came at the right grade. They did this just right for this part.

    Stickhandling/receiving passes – 9.8/10

Like I said the blade is very stiff, has a great pop thanks to the highend carbon fiber used for the blade plus the foam core. It gives a really good feel accepting passes and stickhandling. I have used certain sticks that stickhandling I sometimes lose feel for the puck and have to look down, rarely do I need to do that with this blade. When receiving passes with other sticks I’ve seen the puck just bounce right over or away with this stick I get a pass and SLAP its on my blade and that’s it. Great feel, Pure control.

Shooting – 9.5/10

The stick is rated as a High Kick-Point. But honestly the flex profile of this shaft feels more in the middle/low-mid of the shaft, so the kick point is explosive on all shots, wrist, slap, and one timers. I prefer to take wrist shots and one timers and this stick far exceeds the tone set by most other shafts and one pieces I have used. If you put your weight into the shaft to build some power and torque, this is the stick for you, as quickly as the puck comes to you, even quicker does it fly right off. If you have an already hard shot, this stick will put a bazooka on your shoulders. This stick allows you to really put more and get more out of it.

On another note the taper to the stick is quite peculiar, I loved the taper to the Widow but it had no durability, the kick to it was great but it didn’t hold up to any torque and would back flex the blade on its own. This stick has a bit of that Widow taper but stronger, and more durable to any slash or skate. The top of the blade towards the shaft it has a Torsion control Area, it keeps the blade and shaft straight without flexing back, it allows you to take any heavy shot and not allow the accuracy to suffer. This is in comparison to three other sticks I shot next to so I could grasp a better feel. One was a Bauer TotalONE and the other was a Warrior AK27 pro stock, and a G3 Bauer TotalONE, this stick far FAR outperformed all of these.

    Durability - 10/10

There is really nothing to explain here, for visual proof, please check my video review where i highlight all the small dents and scratches on it, and I am not that nice of a player to sticks and gear i'm reviewing. This one more than survived, it challenged me for more.

    Intangibles

I'm a huge fan of the clean graphics, this is one of the best looking sticks in the market in my opinion. The red on one side, and the dark on the other just looks perfect. Like a Suit.

    Conclusion

This is the best stick I’ve ever used. I’m a firm believer that nothing is perfect, but by far this almost comes close to it. Its great for any situation and shooting style, it shoots like a laser and for those of us with already hard shots, it shoots even harder.

The Balance and shaft shape are perfect, it has a very natural feel and it's very hard to find any major faults in it.

Would I recommend this stick to anyone? You bet!

Matter of fact, GO GO GO GO GO GO GO, at the price you can get it, compared to Bauer and Warrior and the CCM/RBK sticks, this one is High Way Robbery.

Sher-Wood did it right like they always have and have since given me a stick that is my number 1, 2 and 3. Because nothing beats this!

    Overall score - 9.8/10

  3. Good awesome things are happening lately to me and i love it. My son turned 1 year old, i got promoted at work, and was approached by BASE hockey to get fitted for a stick so i can do a review.

At work i wasnt certified at work to speak in spanish, i went off on an interpreter at work.

"Tell the patient i cant help her because she doesnt qualify, by a long shot i have another idea but can't say it will work"

Interpreter says to the lady that i guarantee to fix her issue.

i Yell at the interpreter and they hang up on me, i call em back they hang up, so i turn to my boss and say never again. i start talking directly to patients in spanish. Two weeks ago a pretty higher up person came up to me and asked if i was the one who refuses to use interpreters, i say yes and grab my backpack thinking i'm fired and she says "congratulations we're basing our spanish program around you and how you interpreted everything. You will be compensated, become a higher level patient advisor, and get a raise, and better benefits.

Man i love my job, i can help people!

  4. Pretty bummed out tat i get a free pair of RBZ skates to demo for a few weeks and in the first period a guy kicks me, straight up Kicks me and as i fall i grab him he goes for another kick and i land with my hip on his skate, screwed up the last three weeks for me. I tried skating on the skates a week later when i was feeling a little better and just couldn't.

So bummed how the heel felt like just a big hole that my heel just bounced around inside of, hey i got to try them though, that was kinda cool

  5. Just got an email from a hockey company we all know and lots of us grew up using, the email contained verbiage such as "we have been watching your hockey reviews and we like how you do them and how educated you sound" and "we would like for you to try out a few of our sticks and give us long term reviews if you are interested, please give us sizing, flex, curves etc etc on what you use"

I'm extremely excited! I feel so lucky

  6. They don't have them in stock, apparently. Their shipping is free overnight anyway, so if they had them they would have just done that.

I haven't been up to HM or HG in a while, maybe I'll just drive up tomorrow. It's only about an hour away. Since I can't guarantee how long they will take to send me my shin pads. Sometimes HM is very fast, sometimes its a week. HG is brutally slow ever since they stopped shipping out of socal. Not to mention it wont be free shipping anymore. I've been working from home for a while, and really miss driving my car. :)

so what happened in the end dude? i hope you got your stuff already

  7. What happened sucks but tossing the f bomb around in the office never helps your situation.

Thats true but that wasnt what got me in trouble or the issue

Or on MSH. Once again, just because you're venting doesn't give you carte blanche to use profanity in this thread.

Sorry man, i went back and fixed it.

  8. Some guy was quitting at work two weeks ago apparently.

So during a really busy period of the day he walked over to our pod of desks while we were all standing and talking and were starting to sit down i see him walking to us.

He stopped two desks before mine where the Pod has the power outlets controlling all of our desks. He stared at it, looked up and around and made eye contact with me, smiled and kicked the fucking thing. ALL OF OUR COMPUTERS SHUT DOWN. I was in the middle of a call with a client and muted my phone and yelled "HEY what the eff is your problem!"

he kicked it again and and ran away, as he kicked it they all turned back on and instead caught on fire, mine started shooting out black smoke and then caught on fire. So i quickly called our IT guys and they ran over, saw what was happening and told us to dump the calls and quickly move to new desks.

Since i called it in i told everyone else what to do after being instructed on it.

Well the next day my boss walks up and says "we have a situation, i just got told to walk you out"

We quickly went to his desk and he showed me why, i stared at him very angry and said "dude thats when our desks caught on fire! how can they do this to me!?"

So he had an investigation opened to revert the firing and the main boss said 'nope it sticks, we're not using a technicality as an excuse for him'

So i asked my boss "ok dude, so there were 12 of us that had this happen to besides me. Did anything happen to them?"

    'No, just you'

"ok, we'll see what happens next, thank you for sticking up for me but this is pure BS"

i stood up and walked away,

if you want to know the rest of the story, look in the "Sweet Spot" post, that one puts it best at how good it is now.

  9. I got really angry at my bosses over something that was out of my control and i got thrown under the bus. So i decided to find a new job. I found a listing for a temporary job elsewhere closer to home now that we moved. Since i want to work as a pharmacist and need to start as a pharm tech i took to this place that works for a medical company with Rx's

I got a call three hours later after applying, then i interviewed for the job on tuesday. The interviews last 5-10 mins and they tell you "talk to you soon"

Mine lasted 1 hour and we renegotiated the original offer. Instead of coming on as a temporary worker, they offered me a full time position starting on the 28th instead of the 18th. They also informed me they're going to open up their own pharmacy in the building so i will be a priority to become one in training.

The pay originally was going to be at 13/hr. Today they called me to say they've renegotiated the pay for 15 an hour until i meet bonus/raise levels. I love my life.

  10. got made Perm at my job in record time, most people wait about a full year or longer, and i was part of the second group to go perm, kinda proud i got to do it since only three of my starting group are left and they're not perm yet. i guess it pays to be a knowledgeable guy

  12. i was 4 and had to have 85% of my lung removed, i died on the operation table while they operated but the were able to bring me back. So congrats to all of you still alive from your operations too.

    on the brightside

June 21st at 1:26am my son Maxime Alexandre came into this world, and he's beautiful. Greatest moment of my life.

    GREATEST.

  13. FMLA should apply unless it is a very small company. They can't prevent you from taking it.

i applied but because i'm under 1 year they said i don't qualify, they're trying to comply this morning they said that they'll allow me one week but i have to immediately report when she goes into labor and it starts right there

it's whatever i was told i could get FMLA and then i get told i can't, so if they won't comply, we'll figure something out

  14. Wanted to take 1 week off when my baby is born to spend it with him and Whitney, switched to a new team and told by the new boss and the manager i'm under that they're not supporting one week off but my old manager was so their reply is "we may get you one or two days"

    new job time?
