Yeah just judging by the pics it looks like most of the toe from the samsonov comes from having an open face, the bottom of the blade doesn't have as much of a hook. How do you like it?

Yeah its a bit hard to see if it came out as a toe because like you said it seems like the samsonov shows more toe with the openness, do you have a top view? Did you just tell them to make it more neutral?

4 on the left are Dolomite Kovalchuk Pro Stocks, and the one on the right is XXX Kovalchuk Pro Stock. The middle one has more of a banana curve.

That's sweet, can you give us some examples of some of his tweaks? Also do you have top profile pics of the curve, im curious how it compares to the other lefty toes out there.

Man I wish I could find some righty sticks like that. That curve and Kris Beech's curve are absolutely beautiful. You're a lucky dude. Yeah there are some lefties that i wanted pretty bad, i like Saprykin and Hossa also. that Neal curve is sick though, nice find.

Hossa's face isn't as open as Samsonov's though. HattrickSwayze is right though, i would go with a Beech. Or Shaefer, but its a different kind of wedge and toe shape.

I'm just kind scared after my last samsonov one95 Thats weird it broke so early though, i have 3 and they are running really strong so far. Well the 87 i used once and the 95 a few times, but no signs of wear. Possibility it was torched before?

lol Calishark is all over that. Atleast i know i can sell my 87 flex to a few people at the drop of a hat if i wanted to.

Hockey Shop and i think there is only one more that do FBV in Vancouver, anyone know of anyone else? Its too far of a commute to get done, i talked to some shop owners and they are waiting to see the reaction it gets then they might think of moving to FBV.

Yeah thats what BauerID says it is. I have a BauerID P10 though and it doesn't have Backstrom anywhere on it.

I was at The Hockey Shop yesterday and saw a couple of signs hanging from their ceiling about FBV. I didn't read the sign or ask them about it though so not sure if it said it's coming, already have it or what. It was more of just a glance and I recognized it. Way too busy there yesterday to really look around, you pretty much had to know what you want and get it, too busy to look around and shop. Hopefully they do have it, I want to give it a try. The Hockey Shop does have them, I was getting new skates so i was reading up on the info they had. It was hard to tell because I was in new skates but i loved how everything felt, im not sure if it was from FBV's or not but i was very please with the skates and the sharpening. They started me off with 100/50. I was in Cyclone the other day but forgot to ask, ill probably phone them to see if they have it because they are closer.

I am about to use the Samsonov 87 flex this weekend, im coming down from a 100 so im wondering if i should just trade it for a 95 if its pretty whippy.

Thats weird, my one95 Samsonov Pro Stock says 0002-22 not 24, and its a an 87 flex. The curve does look the same though.

Spezza Pro Stock, im in the process of getting customs done now. Antoine Vermette Pro Returns when he played for the Sens (Not sure if he actually used 40's because i always see him with SWD), i got them because they are the size i want (14") with a 1" shortened cuff.
