  1. I understand that it will definitely be a struggle and I'm not going to play until I get clearance, but on the positive, my team has a full medical staff as well so hopefully that can be of help as well.
  2. I honestly would like to take a bit more time, but this is my last season on junior and in all honesty probably my last season of serious hockey. I'm kind of in a rush mode here as long as the doctor says I'm fine, I'm going to do everything I can to play again this season.
  3. I fractured my fibula about an inch above my ankle bone on November 23. I had surgery where they inserted a plate with seven screws. At my two week check-up, the doctor said I'd be able to walk at week six (that check-up is tomorrow, keeping my fingers crossed) and then resume skating two weeks after that. He said that I would more than likely be able to resume game action around February 1 depending on how everything feels when I start to skate again.
  4. It's just a general jersey picture they show it's Hockey Canada doing the auction there's nothing to worry about.
  5. I thought if you were 19 at the start of the season you could play AHL. It was the kids who were 18 at the start of the season, but turning 19 during... that had to go back to Jr. Thanks for the correction. There have been exceptions in the past for example Spezza but that was because he played 4 years of major junior which generally doesn't happen unless you'd be 20. Also Staal and Horton were given permission to play in the AHL as 19 year olds during the lockout season since they'd played in the NHL the year before.
  6. He is still too young for the AHL you must be 20 years old or a 1987 born to play this year assuming you are coming from the CHL.
  7. I'd say it upgrades the selection seeing as it is hard enough to get drafted after your draft year let alone in the first round.

  9. Most players coming into Major Junior come from cages anyway.
  10. Hey Sherwood are you looking to play major junior or go to college? Also I know you said you went to Kelwona's rookie camp but since you're playing in Ontario (I think) how do your major junior rights work? Are you eligible for the WHL draft?
  11. It's almost stupid because the reality is that many junior 'A' teams pay their players and in some cases even more than major junior players whereas they are still eligible for the NCAA but major junior players aren't. It's completely irrelevant to me since I'm no longer NCAA eligible which isn't a big deal but still I think they need to change some of the rules regarding professionalism or crack down harder on breaking these rules.
