ahhh our summer team had 3 brown guys including me on it...it was great... 2 of them dont drink, so i would always bring them water instead of beer, never forgot em. they loved me lol
-
the boys finally won one. beauchemin almost coughed it up at the end there... close game. watching it i kept thinking of all the times Carolina has made crazy comebacks and when we got that penalty... :( hopefully this can do something for team confidence and we can kick some rear end tommorrow in the hall of fame game.

shotty how are you liking the tuuk custom+ set up on the grafs? have you ever tried em with ls2's, those skates look sick (jagr-esque) michael that looks like a small proshop in your garage :D

the boys played a good game last night even though they lost. looks like they are moving thier legs. buffalo is a pretty fast team so it was good to see them keep up a bit. gustavson was pretty solid too. with all the bounces other teams are getting against us, they have to start going in our favor sooner or later. i think we hit 3 posts last night. it was awesome to see them tie it so late in the game with less than a minute to go and not give up. there is usually a 2 game thingy i remember hearing about...if you outplay your opponents for 2 games but lose, the third one is usally a win. if you get outplayed but win 2 in a row, the third is usually a loss. lets hope that holds true and we can beat the habs tonight and put a good string of wins together.

looks like kessel may be back next tuesday kessel status Stalberg got sent down to the marlies. hopefully it gives him some more ice time and a chance to get his game going. I am going to the marlies game on sunday when they play the AHL pens so it should be fun.

CTHockey those are sick gloves. those palms look so nice and soft... :)

kulemin is fast as hell i think with him its an issue of confidence and the language. once he gets that going, that mofo is definitely going to be a 30-30 guy. he needs to get a bit more physical too...i remember watching his highlights on youtube and thinking... check it out. pretty powerful too eh.
-
ahhhhhhhhh lmao lol hahahahahahah. oh man that is rediculous. i just pictured the look on the guys face trying to comprehend that lol.
-
is Robidas going to permanently wear that itech mask or is it just part of his injury rehab?
-
game in 6 for anyone that doesnt have the leafs tv network and wants to watch more than just the highlights on sportsnet lol
-
scary thing about mason raymond is how effortless he makes it look and he just flies. my brother watches hockey once in a while and saw mason raymond right away was like, holy smokes that guy is quick. blake, raymond, stalberg...that would be one super fast line lol. it was good to see them trying to fight back for a win last night. the look on poni's face at the end of the game made me feel bad for em'. but its a good sign, they cycled, they hit, they forechecked. they just have to stop taking so many penalties. nice to see hags get a goal.
-
probably stating the obvious, but the boys are takin way too many penalties in the first period. time to put on the rally caps.

here is a link of a former player that played under Ron Wilson. whats your take on this? Ron Wilson a bad Coach? just wanted to see what some other people thought.
-
yah i was watching the NHL network and realized the same thing last night before i went to bed. you know what would be crazy, if they go on to sweep thier entire road series thats coming up...
-
Sniper90 that arena looks really familiar...is that the powerade center? do you play for truenorth? what level? good job on the championship btw...
-
Usually you get at least one player move before they axe the coach. taking that into consideration then (and i know its early in the season) who is the first player to go?
-
completely agree with k9, once i heard Burke say he wanted to make a run to the playoffs, i was like oh boy, here we go again lol. i guess mgmt got to him right away just like all the other gm's. weve sucked this long, whats a few more years. last year we sucked, no expectations and the games were fun to watch. this year we are sucking so far with higher expectations, and i cant even fathom to watch a game after we get down 3. i dont know...hopefully the guys can turn this around. but yah, if we make the playoffs and get eliminated first round ever year...not worth it. we arent detroit where we can constantly develop players and be competetive every year. our rebuild lasted all of half a season lol. what do you guys think the over/under on ron wilson is? i know burke said he will keep him, but we have all heard that before.
-
And admit it when you don't. We all have bad shifts from time to time. totally agree with this one. i am usually the first one to admit if i took a bit of a long shift, if i didnt backcheck or anything in that regard and most guys respect me for that, and its helped my game alot with constructive criticism from others because they see i am open to it. also the high stick thing, total no no. keep your stick on the ice. there is no reason why your stick should be above your waist anyways...

that kessel curve is beautiful...tear.

burke was on sportsnet lunch today(yesterday now) talking about not needing 5 franchise players to win. he really wants good/more goaltending apparently. he also stated he doesnt think the system of high draft picks will work for a team if they lose consistently and draft high. <_< burke on winning on sportsnet lunch him and doug maclean almost get into it lol...

a few rules dont showboat hard after a goal (a fist pump is good enough) especially at shinny no cheap shots (league games or shinny) dont run the score (league games) short shifts (shinny or league games) dont crash the crease (especially at shinny) switch it up and play D every now and then at shinny to give the d men a chance to play forward. dont leave your goalie hanging out to dry at shinny, if you ever want them to come back. dont take shinny to seriously...its shinny for goodness sakes. ive seen fights break out because of rules 1 and 2 being broken at shinny... final unwritten rule...always have fun and be a good sport.

The players now have a union and stuff like that wouldn't slide. But if the leafs think they can win on talent alone, gentlemen, they don't have enough talent, to win on talent alone... Again. F'ing Classic lol yah i love that line. i use that when i playing games too, work hard because i am not talented. i am good for a point a game minimum but only because of hard work, not talent... didnt realize the union would step in on things on like that. but it makes you wonder, its almost like saying they wouldnt let bag skates go either, or players getting benched and stuff... but something has to be done to get these guys going. btw one last point, i think Beauchemin is quickly realizing that there arent any pronger's or neidermayer's in toronto to cover up alot of his mistakes or help him out to make his job easier.
-
another bad game...a few points from watching the game Beauchemin looked horrible...i can see why he was replaced by ian white on the power play Luke Schenn has to develop somewhat of a slapshot...i dont think wristers from the point are going to get past the hash marks even (and they didnt) Stempniak seemed to be the only one who cared, along with Stajan and Blake i still cant understand why they gave up after being down 2 goals. komisarek had an okay night tonight...better than the other nights he's had they got booed pretty bad tonight again off the ice maybe ron wilson needs to do this to light a fire under his players... what the leafs maybe need...youtube vid maybe he should even do it right after the game. work on thier conditioning...while the crowd is there. if you dont want to play hard during the game, you will do it after.

i second that post...those things look great. good job on the waxed laces. i hate stock bauer laces.
-
yah i have 2 sets of equipment too...if i am on the ice 4 times a week (like this week and all winter), my crap never dries. plus alot of the 2 piece sticks (with wood blades) end up getting used for ball hockey by my brother
