Skates for giant feet

I have outgrown my size 12 Vapor XX skates (shoe size now 14), and need a new pair. This appears to be the biggest size in this model, and I am looking for suggestions as to custom skates / changing brands / changing models, etc.

what about CCM skates? i heard that CCM makes the biggest skates and if not then you could always play basketball. :P

i knew a guy with size 13 grafs, that were punched out... you might want to try getting custom grafs

Mission is shoe size. You might want to look into Supreme 6000s. They make them up to 14.

I don't know about Mission custom...but it depends on your foot type. The 5090 might be too deep for you.

JR. With no LHS having either Bauer or Mission, and most LHS's within a few hours not having this size, what do you suggest for sizing (commenting on your too deep note)? Please help, and thanks.

JR, read that by searching before I posted, but my problem is I can't find a shop for "trying on". Does your shop carry a selection of 13's? Do you know any way to measure that can help me other than trying on? Not trying to bug you, just looking for help from you. Thanks.

I just got custom Graf G3's in a 13.25. The upside of these is they don't have a carbon outsole, so the durability issue with those is moot. These fit my feet great, but I know that you can buy Graf 705's up to a size 15 in both D and E widths.

Moot= No longer an issue.

So far they are holding my fat ass (273 lbs) pretty well, and I'm skating about 20 hrs a week.

I'd say mission S series is half size down from shoe and a half size up from Bauer. At least it is for me.

All of the "big" problems I have seen w/ Graf are with the PU outsole. Plus yours were custom...

yeah, my grafs outsole work great and there both the carbon outsoles and insoles. there was a custom graf in the shop with the plastic outsole and i would think it may loosen up and get softer over time. i agree Jr. the grafs with the pu outsole and composite insole arent as durable.

Well, lets say my GW 735's are getting soft on me when I snagged them in January..

Although I think I would sacrifice a little durability for just the pure sexiness of them.. [/sarcasm]
