Pretty interesting hockey game experience tonight!

Recommended Posts

Yeah, so because of the NHL Lockout, Phoenix had a "hockey night" to get some hockey played with some pro players tonight to benefit youth hockey in the valley. Players such as Luc Robataille and Jeremy Roenick were there along with many other well-known NHL stars. A couple of my teamates and myself got to go on the ice and be presented because we won the national championship in Bantam AA.

Anyway, here's the good part. We got to go down to the locker room and meet the players after the game because my coach played for the Phoenix Coyotes during his 14 year NHL career. Anyway, as we were talking to the players, and someone came into the room. The last person in the world I would expect to walk in did. Mike Tyson. Face tattoo, gold tooth, and all.

Yeah, i know...crazy. :D I shook his hand. B) It was a different night, it completely caught me off guard.

Buddy of mine moved out to Reno, he said on the weekends he'll see Mike at McDonalds in Vegas a lot. He's supposedly a really cool guy and will sign autographs for hours if you're polite.

Do you really want to risk that he decided not to take his medication that day?

the only thing that blows my mind about him is how he has no money left from the millions and millions of dollars he made in boxing.

Dammit! He needs to be training, not eating McNuggets! As long as Toney wins and Mike gets by McBride, we just may see Tyson-Toney! I'm sorry, but I am a hopeless mark... When I was 7,8, the guy was like a superhero.... He WAS that insane, unbeatable cartoon version you see at the end of punchout.. At least to a little kid...... I can't help it.. He just rules, and with the crap that is left in the div post-lewis, he could easily get a few belts if his body holds up at all. He was killing Danny Williams until he hurt his knee, anyone who says otherwise is insane.

Current contenders/Chaps Mike would KTFO:

Brewster (a walking punching bag, it would honestly play out like Homer Simpson Vs Dreaderick Tatum)

Ruiz (Although this one could end up worse than the ear biting if Ruiz is allowed to pull his crap)

Holyfield (he is beyond washed up)

Toney (A much better fighter than MT, but way too small)

Jirov (clumsy and small)

Mesi if he ever gets clearance

Byrd (as shot as Mike and no power to hurt him)

There are more he could beat up, He would prob take Wladimir via ko but lose to Vitaly Klitschko in a fight similar to lewis-tyson. The sad thing is that he honestly wouldn't be fighting anymore if he didn't have to... Fighters really need to start using legitimate representation just like any other athlete...

Well said.

I loved the guy as kid. You could argue the prowess of differnet boxers over time, or the sheer overall ability of Ali (no can touch), but for all my money nobody hit harder. He was ko'ing suckas with bodyshots when he was 19
