06 mission line

Recommended Posts

BTW Justin, yes the skates came in tuesday. I had them baked and played a gaime that same day.  I played another game tonight (wednesday) and I am extremely pleased. Thank you again for all of your help.

No more waiting 24 hours to use your skates after baking?

The reason I didnt wait the recommended 24 hour period, is because I simply had no option. I spoke to a bunch of people that I trusted before I played and they said that the 24 hour waiting period is trivial. I realy had no choice in the matter, the skates came in the mail at 3 p.m. and I had a 7 p.m. game, no other skates to use (I broke 2 more eyelets on my 950's the week before, because once one goes they all go) I skated on them with no issue, all seems well. They work great, pluss I wasnt about to sit out a game...I need to play too bad.

skates look good but is it just me or do u think that this chassis is gonna get bent pretty easily if u take some shots to it from pucks??? im a defensemen and i block a lot of passes and shots with my feet!!! what do u guys think??

Every experience I have had with magnesium alloy gives me the impression that it is a durable material. I am currently in school for a job in the high performance sect. of the automotive industry, and most "racecars" have wheels that are made up of magnesium alloy, mainly because they maintain structural integrity at high speeds and temperatures, maintaind ridgity, and are EXTREMELY lightweight. The only downfall with the magnesium that the cars use is that if you hit a curb, there is a change they can go up in flames. (magnesium burns at SUPER high temperatures, and is fairly flamible, which rules.) However I highly doubt that the chassis will ever catch on fire, and I do know that it is stronger than aluminum, so I guess the answer to your question is No this chassis will not bend when it gets hit with a puck. Pluss I've experienced the chassis before on the HE 950s and I've never had a problem with them.

i have a question are these skates going to compare in lightness to the heliums?? or are they going back to the weight of the DNAs??

I just got back from a tournament and saw so many guys wearing Helium 950's with broken DNA strands all over them. All the skates looked brand new as well.

While I agree that magnesium alloys are lighter than aluminum, they're not neccessarily stronger.. they have a higher specific strength meaning they're stronger for the something with the same weight.

Also magnesium alloys don't burn.. pure magnesium does when its in powder form or liquid form and some lightly alloyed magnesium alloys burn but they're generally not considered fire hazards.

They should be more dent resistant though cause thier atomic structure doesn't allow for much deformation.. but that also means that they can theoretically crack much easier <_<

Besides pictures of the Mission Quatro model hockey gloves, can you provide specifics of what this new model will offer that is an upgrade from the Mission Helium hockey gloves. Also, will the top end model be in a similar price range as the top end '05 model. I thought one of the positives that distinguished the Mission Helium 750 Hockey Gloves from all the other gloves last season was the price. The Mission HE750 offered everything that a top end glove should offer, but the price was what set it apart from the other brands. Any pictures or details of what the '06 model hockey gloves are all about would be greatly appreciated.

What quattro hockey gloves, there are L series and the helium series

If they are switching to a new name on the inline skate, why wouldn't they change the name of the glove line too?

ETA: October

New Skates, New Pants, New Girdles, New Gloves, and Goalie.....

Based on this post by Justin, I assumed that there would be a new line of hockey gloves called Mission Quatro. Then again, I might be misinterpreting this post.

I think he was......They are a very good team....I played the 14u team and they all looked like freaking adults....I think there was a height requirement for them ;)

Quatro only refers to the construction of the skates...The skate line is still Helium....

The gloves, pants, and goalie will all still be Helium. They will be new and have different numbers (i.e Helium 10000, Helium 7500, etc.)

As for pricing on gloves, we will remain the same as last year, with $99.99 being our top price point....

On page 13 there's a 7500 black, one of my friends (Jerry Osterkamp) has 7500 but his are white and grey. just like the 10000.

Is the 2006 line going to have different colors to choose from? B)

Jerry does not have a 7500 in white/Grey...He is skating a 9500 I believe...The only samples out are actual colors...He may be in 10000's if his skate has white eyelet facing with Charcoal quarters...
