Palms of gloves

Ok I have Vapor XXX gloves and recently I just retaped up some of my sticks with normal hockey tape (lowry's-white). For some reason the palm on my top hand is really sticky and grippy. I didn't apply any grip or anything so what would be the problem here? is it my gloves or is it the tape. Because before I used a different brand of hockey tape same colour etc. and it didn't turn out this way.

Was the old knob you had already "worn in" by your former pair of gloves?

i think its he glue because its new. i find the same thing because when you do your :P knob :P some of the tapes glues run over ontop of each other.

its just the new tape gumming up. it takes a couple ice times for it to go down. it happens to me all the time with newly taped sticks

Apply baby powder to get rid of it right away.

Rub the knob with your bare hand for 15 minutes, it will go away pretty fast. Happens to me all the time, I retape my knobs all the time too.

EDIT: lecavalier, would you apply baby powder to a new tape job or could I just put it on what I already have?
