It's the same as the Vapor XX's stick-um grip, its not as tacky as the 03-04 SyNergy Grip but more of a subtle grip, very nice in my opinion..

Besides the reviews in the Equipment Review section, does anyone else have any other feedback on this shaft? I am thinking of getting one for next season.

grip comes off easily. pretty good balance with my synthesis blade, but with an R2 its perfect. more of a rounded shaft too. paint does not chip. Solid/light shaft overall.

any one use it..comparing to a R2 XN10??..how the balance is?? how light is it??...how DURABLE??

because i have a L-2(maybe it because i'm not used to but..) i don't really like the balance of it compared to my R2 XN10/Syns combo

P.S:I matched my L-2 with a L-2 blade didn't like it..now i use it with a franklin wood cut to fit tapered...and it a bit better...

No stick or shaft I've used puts as much zip on a shot as an XN10. I use the R2XN10 shaft most of the time.

i also have an xn10 but its a OPS. You cant beat the balance of the XN10 and i still have not found anything that compares to it in the shot department. And I agree 100% with Chadd, ive tried stealth xx you name it, nothing gives me a harder shot. weight wise (285g for the shaft and whatever for the blade, 145g for synthesis) its light but not super light. and yes its durable.

I've used 2 XX's, 1 RL Xn10, an Xn10 and am currently using an R2 Xn10 and all have by far outperformed the XX. I like the XV shaft for its grip and wouldn't mind picking one up as a back-up, but IMO it doesn't really compare to the Xn10.... its just those Vapor graphics are so damn sexy :)

That's funny because mine chips really easy but the grip hasn't peeled off at all.

Still a great shaft.

With the R2 XN10..you can't get the great balance of the XN10...but it still very nice...i think the synthesis blade is a pretty good blade...and the R2XN10 is extremely light..

But i break on R2 XN10 after only 1 month and a half...but my other one...still last me(after like 3-4 month)

I think the ''zip'' is pretty more mental than anything....well when you pay 250CND for a shaft you expect to be the best...so you think it is...

Nice option with the VAPOR XV...it has a 87 flex...the little soft grip!! and it a bit concave like the R2 XN10 too...graphic isn't bad too!!

i bought it at joe sports in pierrefond...because rousseau dind't have any tapered shaft except for the synthesis... and 220CND is the normal for R2 XN10...i never saw a lower price than this one...220+tax=250

Dang it's 169.99 here in BC. But then add our horrendous tax and i guess it's up there as well.

I switched this season from Easton Synthesis to the Vapor XV and will never go back!!! I really like the roundness of the shaft (but I also liked the Branches RC). I use a Mission L2 shaft as a back up and I feel that the XV has MUCH better feel that the L2. Durability of the XV has been good, except a little peeling of the grip. I have not yet tried the XN10 Shaft but that will be next....... B)

OFF TOPIC---How the R2 perform/feel/balance compared to the improved R2 XN10??

Feel is good, but it's a little heavier and doesn't put as much extra zip on the shot. It's still a very good shaft.
