The only thing that kind've jumps in here is the fact its a tournament situatation where 1 bad game can kill you.

...like Guelph last year getting absolutely pumped by Gatineau, that was ugly. Seriously though, I hope Kelowna takes it home, being my partial hometown, but I think London will. The hype around them has to be founded somewhere, and their roster is the NY Rangers (pre-rebuilding) performing. I don't know if Ottawa can handle themselves, but I think they may win a game or two and upset. London takes it, though.

don't get it twisted, Gatineau was crazy good past 2 years...

Rimouski will tear a new hars hole to every team out there..

I went to Mem Cup in Kelowna last year, saw every game. Gatineau wasn't as good as Med. Hat was, I am sure. Med Hat was stacked, but they lost a heartbreaker. Guelph was a very good team, not like this year's Ottawa, they were a good team. They got pumped though, it was fun to watch..couldn't have been fun to see their season go down the drain like that.

I hated Guelph. Their fans were unbelievably passionate, but I just hated Paille. They loved that guy, but I just didn't see it. Wasn't a big Klein fan either.

why do you think that? they have fire power but no defence/goaltending

London's first test is over now. They know they can beat Ottawa and Kelowna should'nt be a test. I think they may have this one locked up although there has only been one game. By the way, what was with Fritsche running the goalie, not only once but twice?

no goaltending? dejardins was awesome

He made alot of saves, but nothing was really overly difficult and he did let in some back breakers. I got hauled off in OT, but look at the goals. First was weak, third was weak. He made 2 glove saves and both were not difficult. I was definately impressed with the PK of Rimouski, they kept everything to the outside.

- Why is Perry a pussy? I agree , but he did handle that Cote kid pretty well and didn't do nearly as bad as I was expecting in his fight with Kitchners Captain.

the rockets' got 3 solid lines and great defense, not to mention a great goalie.

If you'd been paying attention Yeomans is hurt and there starting their 18 year old rookie with Everett's goalie as their backup. On d other then Weber and Palin there d has looked slow and shaky throughtout the whole playoffs and 3 great lines I'm not so sure about that

London is much deeper than any other team in the tournament and their top line talent rivals anyone elses. Kelownas strength is depth, because they don't have many standouts. Weber hasn't impressed me, but I've heard he stepped it up. Even if thats the case, I still think London is better in every category. Toughness, Offense, Defense, Goaltending. Kelowna has the experience factor over everyone else, but they seem to be in the same group as Ottawa, a long shot who needs some help to make noise.

Kelowna got carried by Kelly Gaurd last year. They had few standout forwards and were more of a solid core who scored a few goals a game. Josh Georges was the star and now that he is gone Weber is pretty much the only standout on the team. I have yet to see them play this year but if they haven't found adequate replacements they could be in trouble if London and Rimouski are able to open up the game.

What a dandy today. Longest game in Mem. Cup history since the Round Robin format began. A great goaltending battle, Battochio was utterly sick in net! Should be a great rest of the tournament.

I agree, the 67's goalie was making saves left and right. He definetly deserved that win.

The ref between LON/KEL is being so cheese. How can you have a double minor for checking from behind? There is no such a thing.

** Rule 53 (a) states that a minor penalty and a Game Misconduct penalty OR a major penalty and a game misconduct penalty at the discretion of the referee, based on the degree of impact shall be assesed to any player who intentionally pushes, bodychecks or hits an opposing player from behind **
