I guess I don't get the joke, what is so funny about this? The guy isn't claiming to be an NHL'er, he's claiming to be a pro in the AHL.

Anyone have any opinions on the skates? They're pretty beat up, are they worth $35?

I didn't mean they are too beat up to use, I just meant that there's some fairly substantial gashes on them. Look at a big picture of the backs of the skates, that's a pretty good size cut and it looks like it might be spreading.

I guess my question should have been worded: "Are Vapor X's in that condition worth $35 + $15 shipping?"

I'm not looking at them as collectables, but to actually wear.

I'm not exactly sure why we should worry being nice to someone who has a violent past, well documented too. But I guess we're here for hockey, not politics. It looks like he's cleaning up his act, or at least trying to anyway. As someone who was in a bunch of streetfights in college, I'm glad I never cracked anyone's eye socket and made them foam at the mouth, or saw it happen for that matter. Damn!

More importantly, the skates look like they are decent shape. My bro has his in our garage, used them for like 40 or so games, and they look ALOT worse than that. I think the seller says they have 20 games use. Not bad, I'd go for it. Just look out for the stink though, those pros like to go sockless often!
