Question for the curve gurus

Recommended Posts

I grew up with the Montreal Euro curve. I have tried several OPS and cant find a curve that is the same (mid curve, rounded closed toe lie 5.5).. Easton Iginla isn't enough curve, Yzermann is like a bananna. I used to like the Easton Shanahan but then they open the face. Louisville Messier isn't enough curve. <_< Is the Innovative McCarthy close to a Montreal Euro??? How about the Bauer P88??? Has anyone tried the Montreal Composite blades, if so how do they fell?? Thanks

Rather than start a new thread------

What would be comparable to a Mission Rafalski (Silver) curve? Since Mission isn't making the L-2 blades in this curve and I'm down to my last couple of Ethers I will be in need of them soon.

Prefer tapered.

Thanx in advance.

Inno McCarthy

CCM Recchi

Easton Sakic (probably not what you're looking for).

OK I'll try the Inno McCarthy, Now I'm using a Easton Synthesis grip 100. What flex of Inno (True1)would you recommed. (now that the CoreBeam chart is no longer available)? Thanks

Well I talked to the guy at Hockeyoutler and he said that the McCarthy is more like the Yzerman and the Mogilny is not enough curve (more like the Sakic). Besides they are not making True1's any more :( (some sort of maufacturing problem) How does the Montreal Euro compare to the Louisville Brendl????

A big closed mid curve sounds like an easton Yzerman or a CCM Thornton. The thornton is a massive hook, closed face rounded toe, and the Yzerman is very similar although the curve isn't quite as deep and the face is a pinch more open.
