Good shafts for Slap shots

Recommended Posts

Hi im looking for a new shaft because my 5K just feels a bit dead when i slap shot.

I want one that will give a good slap shot as well as everthing else.

I was thinking about the redlite XN10 or the mission M-2. <_<

oooo did the RL stand for redlite, i didnt realise that.

Does anyone know whether the M2 or the Redlite XN10 have any other advantages over each other?

RL is lighter. Differen't materials used in each. Different shaft shape. Different feeling in your hands. Less vibrations with the M2. Go to your LHS, pick both up, and see what you like. The Xn10 series of shafts are the best shafts I've used for shooting.

kind of hard getting a chance to hold them at a pro shop living over here in the UK.

It sucks the amount of stores over here :(

Chadd have you had complaints about the RBK sticks for just slap shots or shooting in general?

Breakage, feel and performance were the complaints I heard from the people who didn't say "it's the bestest stick ever invented"

Our G10 is a great shaft for increased velocity on slapshots.

I only had time to watch two kids at the Let's Play Expo taking shots against the radar, but one picked up 11 MPH and the other 16 MPH compared to the sticks they had been using. (Admittedly, this was the OPS, not shaft, but the platform is the same.)

The only negative to the G10 is it should be longer. The shaft itself is about 48 inches with a six inch extension. However, I've added Oggie Grips to all my sticks, so I'd suggest switching the extension to a Grip; you'll pick up another half-inch to inch and the Oggie Grip has also been measured to add speed to your slapshots.

Since it's expensive to ship sticks/shafts from America, I'd suggest you check out Sweden's website to find a store near you.

Jason
