Biggest Bust of 05-06?

Recommended Posts

Eric Lindros is pretty much done! Leafs taking a big chance with someone who took to many blows to the head. He's out.

Lindros hasn't suffered a major concussion since Stevens hit him in 2000. He's played 3 seasons in NYR since where concussions were not the problem. I didn't think a gamble could "bust" either since half the league thinks he won't play anyways.

I can see Kipper busting, and I'm 98% sure Nieds will be a huge Bust. Thow Hatcher in as well.

how about gary bettman. he still hasn't produced the major tv deal yet. he even let the espn deal fall apart.

any player who hopes to drop over 10lbs before camp(roids)

the nhl front office in how they handle the roids scandal that is going to hit the nhl. these two are just guesses.

you could put Bettman on money in Canada..

Iggy stays with CGY, Edmonton trades for talent instead of sending it away, Kovy resigns with the Habs, etc..and right now its up to ESPN if they want to match the Comcast offer...I'm curious to see who announces for Comcast if it happens on OLN..Bob Roll does hockey!!

How would Iginla be a bust? The best player last season becomes a bust, this makes no sense. At least give a reason for this. And a reason for Palffy would be nice too.

i was thinking of a let down after last season. if he doesn't win the scoring title this season the calagary fans might see that as a let down. that is not to say it will happen, but he did show what the is capable of last season.

palffy this is just a feeling, the whole team, as with any other team that signed alot of big name players, could be a bust if they don't get team chemistery right from the start.

I think Palffy will put up in the neighbourhood of 70-75 points if Pittsburgh has a half decent team which it looks like they will.

personally, i think that Crosby will be a mild success, he won't get 150+ points but of course no one has broken 100 in the last 2-3 years(correct me if I'm wrong) So if he can perform, and get up a solid 40-50 points i would call that a success as a rookie. As J-shera said, he didnt ask for the hype his talent brought it to him.

Biggest bust could be Peter Forsberg....once that injury bug has hit...it can be tough to truly recover...I suspect that he will not play over half the games of this coming season

Look at Jagr....a lot of people have taken shots at his weak performances over the past few years...truth be told...I suspect he has never fully recovered from the groin injury he suffered about 5 years ago...again one of the toughest injuries to return from in hockey, and once it has happened, one of the easiest to re-injure..particularily for a player with a style like Jagr's.
