Go to Coach's Options then Team Reports. That will give you evverything you need to know. Other than that I have no idea if Ryder is in the game or not.

You should be able to download the updated roster online. You do need extra hardware to do that though.

Ryder is a rookie, and so hes not in the game. Most rookies are not in the game because the game just assumes that they won't make it out of training camp or whatever.

They need to get the team in charge of Madden's rosters to do the NHL ones. At least that way there'd be some sort of rookies in the game.

Yeah I play the PC version so I have the full roster update. It's nice because other wise guys like Raycroft wouldn't even be on the starting roster. I'm sure Ryder is there. He is just probably on that teams minor league team which you can't look at unless you are that team.

The cool thing about 2004 is that a lot of the new players in the NHL are still in the game, under their European teams. The bad part is, they all have sizable contracts if you try to get them on your dynasty team.

I really hope the '05 NHL game is a LOT better. I was and still am disappointed with this version. It is way to arcade-like and not enough simultion. EA's Madden '04 is amazing though.

NHL 2004 for Xbox has no network support. The "console downloads" on EA's page only has MS Excel spreadsheets (for PC) with the listed trades and new player stats which you have to manually enter yourself.

I'd like to see the next EA NHL game have network support. It's not worth it just for roster updates alone so they'd have to add online play for sure.

BTW you don't need the memory card when the Xbox has a hard drive for save games.

There used to be a box that you plugged your memory card into that attatched to your PC. Then you copy the file to your memory card and into the PS/2 or Xbox.

ESPN Hockey is pretty good and you can download the latest rosters for the teams, I play the Bruins, Raycroft and Bergeron are on the new rosters. The jersey numbers and names are there but the announcers will just announce Bergerons jersey number when he scores a goal. I have NHL 2004 and ESPN Hockey for the PS2 and IMO the ESPN game is better.
