CuJo will win alot of games for the Coyotes and put them in the playoffs (kind of like he has for every team he's played on throughout his career). They may even win a series or two but then he'll be outperformed by another goalie and they'll get beat. All of his supporters will then say how great he played and that his team just didn't score enough.

Exactly. He will play like he did for St. Louis, Edmonton, and Toronto. He will face tons of shots, look great, and everyone will think he is great at the end of the year. Cujo has to be on a team that gives up tons of shots. That is a great pick-up by the Coyotes, and will really welp Wayne in his first season behind the bench. The back-up is Boucher, if I remember correctly.

yeah the backup is boucher...he's decent.

as for Cujo, i think it is a great pickup for them, especially for only a 1 year deal. They needed a goalie and i agree with the above that he needs to be facing shots. He'll get the yotes into the playoffs at least which is a huge achievement for them. <_<

Looks like the Coyotes just went out an got a veteran backup. They just signed Steve Passmore from Chicago.

Ya but even if you can get 40-45 games out of him. Both him and Boucher have proven they can stand on there heads and carry teams and both tend to be streaky so they can just go with who's hot.

CuJo's been dead for a few years now though. His last few years in Toronto he was garbage, all Boucher has proven is he can put together a steak for 5-10 games.

I think they are both very solid back-ups at this stage in their careers. I don't think they overpaid for either really, but I don't think they have the goaltending to do any damage.
