New NHL logo!

I was driving on I-80 last week. There was huge billboard for NJ Devils tix with this NHL logo in silver and black with NHL going from bottom to top. I thought, oh great, they put up the wrong logo! I get home, check The Hockey News and there it is!!

Has anyone seen this "new " shield? It is terrible. Oh well, leave it to Bettman to screw up the NHL logo!

Bettman had nothing to do with the new logo. I don't get why people like to single him out so much, he does what his bosses want him to do.

I'm indifferent about the new logo, but I didn't like the old one, either.

The NFL, MLB, and NBA logos use red-white-blue colour schemes, but the NHL uses silver-and-black. Maybe NFL, MLB, and NBA are going for the American market, and the NHL is going international?
