masterpirate13 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2005 These definately aren't your run of the mill nike v12's. I know he wore a vapor XX last NHL season. I didn't look to see when we wore these. Does anyone have any guess as to what these are? They look structurally like the Vapor 10's. Naslund skates its the picture in the top row all the way to the right... Vapor#42 0 Report post Posted September 4, 2005 may i ask as to why Markus Naslund would be wearing Vapor X skates ? why not Nike V-12 or Vapor XX's that asthetically look like Nikes..
Cavs019 708 Report post Posted September 4, 2005 Because vapor 10s, not X used to be top of line and IMO, are better than every skate on the market today. Bertuzzi and Hossa still wear them as well.

The Vapor 10's with the grey and black design with the triangle's cut out in the steel of the blade? If those are the ones you're talking about, they are fantastic - Great skate! Andoy 5 Report post Posted September 5, 2005 In addition to the dressed up Vapor 10s i think he also uses those old ICM holders. I know Jovo uses them too.
sogaduch 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2005 naslund is wearin flexlite 12s, saw a video of him being fitted in st. jerome(i think thats how you spell it), where his foot was in this box type thing that made an actual mold of his foot. and yes alot of older players still use slm/icm holders like sundin, lemieux and naslund and other players. THATS what that holder is! I saw a picture of him using holders that looked like CCM Prolites but I guesss they were actually SLMs
hockechamp14 0 Report post Posted September 6, 2005 why are naslund's make up of v-12's so different than what kovalchuk has? Is there really any reason?

JR Boucicaut 3801 Report post Posted September 7, 2005 No, the opposite. ICM is Bauer, SLM was CCM.
Andoy 5 Report post Posted September 8, 2005 why are naslund's make up of v-12's so different than what kovalchuk has? Is there really any reason? The only reason i can think of is because Kovalchuk uses Vapor XXs dressed up in nike whereas Nazzy uses Vapor 10s.

The only reason i can think of is because Kovalchuk uses Vapor XXs dressed up in nike whereas Nazzy uses Vapor 10s. I thought the reason kovalchuk's got specially done was because he was wearing the vapor 10's and not a newer model.
Andoy 5 Report post Posted September 9, 2005 I swear i thought it was the other way around...Anyways i dropped by the rink near my place and the canucks were having a practice. Yes, Markus Naslund wears what appears to be Flexlite 12s but they look a little different, they look alot more like Flexlite 9 skates w/ ICM holders if you ask me! I'm not saying that they are but I guess Nike made the swoosh sign on his skates much bigger and of a diff color so that we'll be able to see it better. jbyun04 7 Report post Posted September 16, 2005 k now i don't know if he's playing tricks by switching skates all the time *credit to nucks forums*does that really look like a pair of flexlites? I think they look more like Eastons crossed w/ Vapors?? Is that the Flexlite 12 but looks like Flexlite 9 sort of one you were talking about?
Andoy 5 Report post Posted September 16, 2005 personally i think he's wearing the same old vapor 10s dressed up as flexlites...the toe part of his skates compared to the flexlites look very different.
