Iginla Blade Pattern clone or cheaper alternatives

Recommended Posts

Im currently using RH synthesis iginla blades and can't use anything else but the Iginla pattern. The problem is that the synthesis blades dont last more than 2 months.

What clones exist out there or are somewhat extremely close to the iginla pattern ?? Especially Innovative, do they make any blades close to the Iginla pattern ??

Or are there any other cheaper alternatives to a durable iginla blade pattern ?? It doesn't have to be tapered... just the pattern.

Also what happened to the old Bure patterns, those were beautiful, they say that the gagne is the same as the Bure but I don't believe so, it looks nowhere near the old Bure pattern.

The wood Gagne's were still similar to the Bure last year, not sure about the new ones. The Messier R2 is probably as close as you're going to find to the Iggy Synth. You may want to have some cutom wood blades made up, they may not last as long as a composite blade but you should get a decent lifespan out of ones from TPS or Legend. If they last half as loong and cost 1/3 as much, you come out ahead.

I've been using Modo, Sakic, Iginla, Messier and Nash curves on and off, and Messier is probably closest as Chad stated. I'll echo the suggestion on custom wood blades, with the right tools, you can customize the blades yourself too if you use wood.

I think Iginla's supposed to be pretty close to a Bauer Peca/P71... also Mission is coming out with a P71 knockoff, either Hatcher of Hull, can't remember which.

i thought the messier would be the closest also, so i got an R2 blade and it's a totally heel curve, not really like the Iginla at all, i think they changed it for 04' but maybe i just got the bad one in the batch...

exactly how close is mission's hull pattern to the iginla ??

I only saw it for a few minutes back in January but it appeared to be very close, if not exact.

The '04 composite Messier R2 is a bit more of a heel curve than the Iginla, slightly less flat on the bottom, and quite a bit longer of a blade.

I've heard different descriptions of Inno's retail McCarty, for those of you that have had your hands on it, which composite pattern is it closest to: Iginla, Lindros, Messier, or European. Please describe how it differs from the closest pattern.

The new composite Messier's that I've seen are a kind of hybrid between the Iginla and Modano. The curve is about a mid but the curve is a straight curve and not a gradual curve.

well i switched from the Iginla to the 04 messier and i like it alot better , you get a bit more on your shot with the messier, but it's longer, so that can be better or worse depending on ur preference, for me it was alot better

I had a couple but they were the easiest blades to heat up and modify so they were used for customs for friends. I always liked the 89 heel,
